This charming 3 bedroom, 1 bath bungalow with a screened-in porch, is the perfect getaway for a quiet vacation. Located in the original Down East area of Carteret County, just 12 miles to the Cedar Island/Ocracoke Ferry and a public beach, 29 miles to the Harkers Island Waterfowl Museum, 31 miles from Historical Beaufort, and 3 miles by boat to the Outer Banks and Cape Lookout National Seashore.

Many day trips available to Atlantic Beach and other destinations. Local fishing charters and hunting guides available. It is just minutes from the harbor, boat docking, and boat ramp.

Was duck hunting out of Atlantic. House slept 4 and had all necessary amenities.... except salt (salt, salt wheres the darn salt :) ). Host and hostess were great! Guides boat was 5 minutes away for early start

This was a lovely place to stay. The kitchen is huge and is well equipped, which was great because there are not a lot of places to eat out in this area (the days and times they are open did not suit our schedule). The screened in porch was fabulous and kept us safe from the mosquitoes (bring bus spray!). We had a few issues with 2 of the bedroom doors that wouldn't close, and the bathroom door that wouldn't latch, but we made it work. The owners were quick to respond to all of our questions. If you want a quiet getaway, 20 minutes from a very kid-friendly beach, where you can sleep in comfort and relax, this is the place to go. Thank you for having us! We loved our stay here.

I wanted to hike some of the MTS trails and this was the perfect spot to stay. The house was very roomy and had great kitchen appliances, a wonderful screened in back porch, and surrounded by the pleasant sounds of birds singing. So relaxing.

I want to say off the bat these pictures do not do the place justice at all. The house is gorgeous! Linda and Arlynn met us when we got there and showed us where everything was. They are extremely nice and so helpful. The location is perfect if you hate crowded beaches. We only drove about 12min to get to a private beach that was so pretty and quite since not a bunch of people know it’s there. I would recommend this house and the owners if you want a peaceful trip. I will definitely be staying here again.
