Northwinds Adventures - Gloednieuw Rustieke Walleye Cabin

Zittend op het terrein van Northwinds Adventures, een jaar kamp, ​​is deze gloednieuwe 'Walleye' cabine nu beschikbaar.  Binnen beschikt het over 2 slaapkamers; een met een queensize bed (voorzien linnengoed) en de andere met een bovenste dubbel stapelbed en een volledige futonbodem (lakens op aanvraag voor een vergoeding van $ 10).  Voor extra slaapruimte, is er een slaapbank in de woonkamer (lakens op aanvraag voor een vergoeding van $ 10) of ruimte voor een kinderbedje. Witte eiken hardhouten vloeren in de gehele cabine, de badkamer is betegeld met een opstapdouche. Een houtkachel is beschikbaar om de koelte in de koudere seizoenen af ​​te halen, hout voorzien voor $ 5 / bundel.  De keuken is vol met alles wat je nodig hebt om na een dag buitenshuis een heerlijke maaltijd voor te bereiden.

De cabine is verstopt in een bosje aspens ongeveer 100 meter van ons eigen privé Love Lake.  Er is een dek om te slapen en een vuurplaats in de tuin.  Er is ook een houtskool grill; Maar de houtskool is niet voorzien.

Voel je vrij om de paden rond onze 220 hectare te wandelen, een kano of kajak in ons meer te kunnen padden of tijd doorbrengen op ons privéstrand.  

Love Lake is een 10 hectare groot, lente gevoerd eigen meer en er zijn tal van mogelijkheden om te vissen vanaf de kust.  Om onze populatie van inheemse forel en walleyes te beschermen vragen we dat u alleen barbele, kunstmatige lokken gebruikt en al onze gevonden vrienden terug in het meer vrijlaat om een ​​andere dag te vechten!

Houdt u er rekening mee dat we in juni, juli en augustus hosten van Camp Luther's "Keweenaw Base Camp" programma en soms zijn onze waterkant / strandgebied gereserveerd voor hun gebruik.  We zullen u aanmelden en informeren u over het strandschema bij uw aankomst.  Keweenaw Base Camp groepen komen op zondagavond en vertrekken vrijdagochtend zodat het strand de meeste weekends beschikbaar is.  Tijdens de week brengen ze vaak een tijdje uit, zodat het strand soms ook tijdens de week open is.

Als u naar ATV of sneeuwscooter komt, vragen wij u niet om machines op het terrein te rijden.  Je kunt ze echter rechtstreeks van de accommodatie naar het pad rijden, een korte legale rit over de wegen naar het pad van Bill Nichols op ongeveer 3 mijl afstand. * Vanwege de Flood Bill van 2019 is Nicholas Trail gesloten en is het een rit van 5 mijl naar trail 3.

Winter Wonderland

We visited our son for Winter Carnival and found this gem of a cabin. The owners are very kind and accommodating for everything we asked for. The fireplace and furniture were so cozy! Highly recommend any of their cabins!!!

Another lovely vacation

This was our third stay in the cabins in Atlantic Mine. They have truly become our home-away-from-home for our visits to our son, a student at Michigan Tech. The cabins a very clean and comfortable.

Fun private property

What a great place this is! So much to do on the property alone. We were not expecting that. Our teens loved fishing and swimming in the lake. We were able to cookout. And everyone slept comfortably in the cabin. Everything was very clean. The communication with the owner was excellent. We would definitely stay here again ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

May fishing trip

Nice cabin for 4 guys on a spring fishing trip. Bunk beds are a little small. Kitchen/ living room is spacious and comfortable. Quiet wooded location. Would definitely stay here on a return trip.

Lovely cabin stay

My husband and I found this cabin near Houghton so we could spend a weekend with our son, who is a student at Michigan Tech. The cabin was spacious, with attractive, sturdy furniture and cabinetry. We had plenty of space to spread out, and the scenery was just gorgeous.

Hidden Gem

Northwinds Adventures is amazing. We stayed (family of 5, 3 kids ages 13, 11, and 8) in the Walleye cabin. There was plenty of room, the kitchen had all the dishes, pans, and utensils you need. Bathroom was adequate and small bedrooms we didn't spend much time inside. Firepit was nice and spaced privately from other cabins. There is firewood at each cabin for a reasonable price and it is dry, hardwood firewood. The lake is excellent with 2 platforms to jump off of. The cost to use the nice paddleboards, kayaks, and canoes ($15/person for the stay) is a steal! The equipment available is great. We caught a couple walleye and a perch on the lake too. Paying for the watersports equipment and firewood is easy, just venmo the owner at the end of your stay. The location is nice if you want to be just out of town and we strongly recommend heading to breakers for a sunset fire on the black sand beach. Highly recommend Northwinds Adventure as a base camp for your Keweenaw trip.

Peace and Quiet

This was our third time visiting the walleye cabin and per usual, it did not disappoint. We always felt right at home. This place is a gem. Even though my cell phone had poor reception (which I am usually happy about), the wifi was strong enough to facilitate calls without hitch. We also appreciate the gifted maple syrup from the hosts. We are planning on returning again!

The location, cabin and environment were very peaceful. The property managers were prompt responding to any questions and were helpful. The cabin was clean and set up nicely. My boys had a blast in the lake kayaking and fishing (they were catching nice walleye). Couldn't recommend enough.

What a wonderful find! I planned a spur of the moment trip to visit my daughter at Michigan Tech. Five of us stayed very comfortably in the CLEAN cabin. We cooked and ate all of our meals there and had everything we needed—pots, pans, appliances, dishes. The weather was beautiful and we were able to open all of the windows to enjoy the fresh air. The fire pit is a nice size and located very close to the cabin, and firewood chopped and ready for a reasonable price. The host was quick at responding and was very attentive. We look forward to coming back after the lake is melted so we can enjoy some of the fun there. I love the serenity that this property has to offer. We will be back!

Just what we hoped for & more

We were visiting our MTU son & wanted a place to relax after outdoor adventures. The walleye cabin was a perfect place for our family of 4 to relax by the fire, work & do homework (good WI-FI), cook, and play games. The cabin was clean, well organized, & the beds & furniture were comfortable. And the view out to the aspens is beautiful. Michelle was easy to work with & accommodating when we needed to alter our plans. We would recommend this cabin & hope to be back one day.

Great experience

The cabin has a cozy feel without being cramped. We loved the wood fireplace, and our MTU son was able to stay with us one night. We even hosted another small MTU family for lunch before heading to do some hiking! Great location close to the college with the amenities of home!

Perfect property!

We were pleasantly surprised by this property. Its somewhat secluded and very neat and clean. The best part was being able to sit on the deck or in front of the fire pit and have peace and quiet. I highly recommend this property! Its about a 16 minute drive to Michigan Tech, good distance without being too far.

Great place to stay

We only stayed 3 nights, it wasn't long enough. The cabin is very beautiful and set up perfectly inside and out. We joked about just moving into the cabin and not leaving. Next year we're spending the whole week there. Since we only spent 3 days, we didn't get a chance to use the trails, but did get a little time to fish. Me and my daughters caught perch and walleye.

Move in to MTU

We moved our daughter into her apartment at Michigan Tech. This is a nice property to relax at and enjoy the outdoors while we are in town. We've stayed here before and will stay again.
