'If you end up getting room 220, request a different room. Unfortunately, I stayed at this hotel to celebrate the 4th of July, but ended up not feeling up to it because the room kept me up all night. Having read multiple reviews complaining about the air conditioners, I brought a noise cancelling machine, but the air conditioner was still VERY loud (high pitch chirping/rattling) and musty smelling. I was finally able to dull the sound, so I figured no need to bother the front desk in the middle...

'Plenty of space for our party of four, in the 2 bdrm suite. Yes, this place is old and there are signs of that. For example, the 1970s GE Cooking center…functional except the microwave. There was another microwave in the unit though. The carpet looked newer as did the couch. Nice spacious shower. Comfy beds. 3 square small pillows on the beds was not comfy as I prefer 2 rectangle pillow. My hubby and I fought over the third pillow. White blinds don’t do much to darken the rooms. 'Wonderful property with a beautiful view! Staff was 5 star. Beds were comfy and clean. Only disappointment was room was clean but definitely needs a facelift. Toilet seat was chipped and finishes very worn.'

'This is a mid century Schitts creek type motel. I mean that in the best way possible. Not for the Beougie! But it is awesome. Rooms are clean and well taken care of. This place is literally right on Lake Superior! The price was fantastic and there were chairs and picnic tables right there to watch the sunset. Which in and of itself was worth the price of admission. The outside doors and common area create a little sense of old school community. Creature comforts yes, but prima donna not so...

'Room was clean and spacious. WiFi workwd sporadically had to be set up outside the room. Location of hotel is in proximity to waterfalls. Breakfast area is very small crowded and inadequate for the amount of people at any time of the breakfast time'

'Stayed here so that I could kayak/hike Pictured Rocks. Stayed on the 1st floor. Got (at most) 2 hrs of sleep. People above me were partying. I called Expedia & they transferred me to hotel. I let them hear it. Made no difference. If you need sleep before a big day- this place is not it'
