Kamer in Annex
Gebouw is prachtig van buiten en binnen. Gezellige bar met 4 lokale bieren op tap en halve prijs tijdens happy hour. Kamer was helaas in er achter gelegen annex. Kamer niet bijzonder, kon willekeurig hotel zijn, helaas geen koffie-apparaat, wel beneden in hal.

Loved the hotel, and the staff were all super friendly, especially in the bar in the evenings. All very relaxed and chilled, which was perfect.

Austin's hidden Gem
I love the Hotel Ella. Its history along with modern amenities is awesome! The room is clean and the bathroom is spotless. They hav an onsite restaurant and cute bar. The only negatuve is you are requred to pay $45 dollars per night for valet parking. However, the valet is always closed when I get to the hotel. I work nights and get back to hotel at midnight so I park in the small parking area at the hotel or across a very busy street. I think the valet parking should be optional.

Very dodgy hotel
This hotel is incredibly overpriced. There’s nothing in de room like tea maker or coffee machine, the view is a wooden fence or a brick wall right next to your window. And there’s a lot of hidden additional costs… You are forced to use valet parking (the valet guys are hunting for your car keys),you need to pay an additional amount “amenities costs” even when you were not been told or haven’t used them. The breakfast service isn’t constant. First day very good by a young lady but the next day it looked like the man just came from the club to the breakfast. Literally everything went wrong. Twice asking how I wanted my eggs. Than still have the wrong eggs. They were cold, they must have been in the kitchen voor long time. Than one of us finished the breakfast while the other one didn’t receive it yet. Tip for the hotel: Become less arrogant, facilitate your clients better, give them more value for the price they pay and come with a price without these dodgy additional costs. You are misleading the people.

This place has almost zero service for customers. We arrived after a concert at 9:30 pm Sunday night...No food or room service....Potato chips and power bars. Not unlike other area hotels in Austin, customer service is almost nil

I had always wanted to stay at this hotel and the historic home of the hotel is wonderful. The staff could not have been more accommodating including the valet. The food was wonderful. The room’s furniture was worn out but I u defat and they are planning a major rebuild of the hotel and keeping the historic home for the restaurant thankfully. The bed was very comfortable.

Went up for ACL festival. We loved the old world charm of the property itself. The spacious balcony was a bonus. The room was large and comfortable for us and our two dogs. We will be staying there again.

Pretty on the exterior but there are no bellmen, lobby is underwhelming, rooms are nothing special. No desk no seating terrible wifi that is nonexistent at times. Restaurant service was great but decor is surprisingly scarce and minimal. Noisy streets that woke us up at night. Was expecting to be blown away by this hotel and was unoderwhelmsd and disappointed

We chose Ella for the location, bar, and cafe. We were never told there was a fire and that there would be no food in the bar or restaurant. Had we been notified, we could have planned our meals and reservations better. The pool area is wonderful. There was a blue moon that night. One of our rooms (108) was right next to the elevator shaft and was miserably noisy all night.

Great stay near University of Texas
Great stay at this boutique hotel located very close to University of Texas. Was super convenient as we moved our daughter in to school. Staff & Service was outstanding, especially Johnny at the front desk!

Front desk and staff seems to be new to the job. Not helpful or knowledgeable. Valet was slow and very expensive. $45.00. The average room was $310.00 a night and was not any better than a 2 star room. All in All it was just okay. If you have business at the University it's good place to stay.

Fun Wedding Weekend
We stayed at the Hotel Ella for a Wedding. The property is in a wonderful location for Austin. The room was clean and spacious. It is a small property and the staff was wonderful, helpful and friendly. We had a great time and I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Disappointing.
Was advised 2 days before trip that could not use restaurant, pool or parlor sat after 5pm-unacceptable. Dogs pooped and people smoked right outside sliding door-unCceptBle. Valet left car across the street UNLOCKED, unacceptable. Was supposed to have 2 beds-only got 1. Unacceptable. My stay was t important enough-unacceptable.

Loved the history of the property and the staff! Each person we encountered was attentive, kind and helpful. Loved the customer service texting option. Answers wet always prompt And thorough. Room in the newer part was nice and clean but very plain. Also for not being directly downtown, I thought the valet cost of $48 was quite steep. Bartender and concoctions were amazing!
