  • ZONSONDERGANG, ligt op 2 minuten van het strand en het centrum van Avila Beach. Het appartement is gevestigd in is een van de beste gated community-locaties - Ocean 17. Bij binnenkomst op straatniveau is er een grote junior suite (queensize bed + twin / slaapbank) met open haard, tv, inloopkast en een eigen badkamer. Ook op straatniveau is de garage voor 2 wagens en het wascentrum op ware grootte. Een trap is de belangrijkste woonkamer met open haard, een gastronomische keuken met roestvrijstalen Vikingapparatuur, een ontbijtbar en een grote suite.

    Vanuit de keuken is een panoramisch uitzicht op de bergen met balkon. Het balkon aan de voorzijde heeft een propaan-barbecue en zitplaatsen voor 2 personen. Het balkon aan de voorzijde bevindt zich naast de keuken, waardoor het gemakkelijk is om maaltijden klaar te maken en te serveren. Net buiten de woonkamer is nog een balkon met een wenteltrap die leidt naar een ruim dakterras met uitzicht op de bergen en de oceaan. Het dak is perfect om te loungen of te entertainen. Het BBQ-centrum heeft een ingebouwde minikoelkast, gasbarbecue.

    SUNSETTER is een hoekopstelling in het complex, ooit de privéunit van de bouwer, zoveel extraatjes en voorzieningen. Een 2 minuten lopen naar het strand, en gemakkelijke wandeling naar Avila Beach Golf Course en Bob Jones fiets- en wandelpad.

A Pleasant stay

Location is perfection. We loved having two master bedrooms with attached baths. The main living area was great for relaxing after a day in the sun. The kitchen was well organized and amazing. Being able to easily walk from the house to the beach was so nice. Also the short (less than a block walk ) to Front St. with all the shops and eatery is an added plus. Our stay was quite pleasant.

This was our second time staying in Ocean 17. We love the condo and rooftop deck, all balconies, kitchen, bedrooms, baths, thoughtfully appointed. We celebrated our daughter’s birthday this weekend and had everything we need for a birthday dinner. There was a power outage on Sunday, so we were not able to turn on the dishwasher upon check-out. There was 1 broken beach chair out of the 5 (we had brought a few of our own so we were OK), and we accidentally took the frisbee with us but returned it the same day and left it hidden behind a bush by the front door. Thanks, and would love to stay again!

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were there for two days. Power was out most of the day due to a city outage. When power came on the smoke alarms beeped for 24 hours. Chirping every few hours. The master sink would not drain , and i called to see if I could have a late check out and was rudely told no cleaners will be there in 15 min . In which they were not there until 4 hours later as we were still visiting friends. The automatic gate near the garage opens whenpulling into the garage nearly hitting the car twice. Gate needs a pad on it in case it does bounce off the car and should be painted a bright color so you can see it coming at you in the dark. And the garage does not park two cars just one . Too small bc of the cabinet that is standing in the left side of the garage. Other than that, the condo is beautiful inside and is decorated nicely.

Both bedrooms were the same size which was nice. Plenty of amenities provided too. A bit tough to remember all the access codes and tough maneuvering entering/exiting garage due to unit being on end. Very tight squeeze for 2 cars. Overall I would recommend this property. Management was excellent at communicating.

Access to the beach and the stores is very convenient and close. The only problem we was access into and out of the garage for the second car. The entrance is very close to the gate and there were trash cans obstructing the entrance to the garage. There were a few minor repairs I needed while we were there. They were handled within a very short time by maintenance.

Great stay!

Quality property in Avila. Responsive management as well - the washing machine did not work and, while repairs were quickly underway, the management team took our laundry offsite, washed it, and returned it folded neatly. We will be back!

We enjoyed the use of the kitchen, BBQ and played cards on the upper deck. In the morning we'd wake up and take the 1 minute walk down to Kraken Coffee which was excellent. Our host Terri was excellent and extremely responsive. A very relaxing and enjoyable stay.

Spring break

We were there for spring break and for our son to tour Cal Poly. The property was just as advertised. It was a great location and in good shape. The property management was easy to reach and communicate with. The washer wasn’t working, and we had packed just enough to wash during our stay. This was inconvenient but they did offer to wash for us and did a good job. We would definitely rent this property again!

It was the perfect relaxing vacation, just a block from the kid friendly beach and close to restaurants and an excellent coffee shop. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family had a great stay at this property, we loved the location to the beach, great restaurants and coffee shop. The condo is clean and well equipped and included paper & kitchen supplies which is something you don't always see at other properties. The only downside was the beds, they are very soft and we unfortunately would not return for this very reason. I think the mattresses are due an upgrade! Sleep is so important especially when you are on vacation!
