Couldn’t get to sleep because of people making so much noise upstairs from us and also my husband and I ordered steak as we went for dinner with the family and my husband’s steak had to be returned as it wasn’t cooked properly and when they come back with it it still wasn’t cooked properly so he couldn’t eat it BUT still had to pay for it!!!!

A day at the races
Excellent stay on Ayr race day 2 January went above and beyond to accommodate around 20 of us last minute for dinner following Ben Smith (jockey) first win!! Staff were excellent. Room was clean and tidy with tea making facilities - check in was friendly

Bra hotell sentralt i Ayr.
Eldre hotell med ekstra rom i to anneks. Flott resepsjon, rask og hyggelig innsjekking. Stort rom (i annekset), stor seng og god komfort. Greit bad. Rom mot gaten kan ha litt trafikkstøy morgen og ettermiddag, men det er stille på natta. Flott restaurant med god service og nydelig mat, både frokost og middag. Koselig bar ved resepsjonen, og en stor peisestue rett over gangen. Stabil og rask WiFi over hele hotellet. Godt med parkeringsplasser. Velstelte uteområder. Gangavstand til bysentrum og The Mile.

Lovely Hotel with Friendly Staff
Lovely Hotel and Staff. Room was large and comfortable. Gardens and outside area is very well kept and stunning for photos. We had lunch in the Jockey Club restaurant which we could not fault. Stayed as we were going to Ayr Races which is literally a stone throw away through a gate and you’re there. I would definitely stay again.

Just what we wanted
Hotel was great. Quick & friendly check in, room was clean & spacious. A bit noisy in the early hours when some wedding reception guests returned to their rooms. Fantastic meal in the hotel restaurant, reasonably priced & good portions. Overall very good

The hotel itself was beautiful. We stayed in a courtyard room which was very nice but could do with an update. The staff were great and always helpful and polite. Would stay again.

A True Gem.
Just booked as a stopover after 10 nights in Ireland. Turned out to be the finest and cheapest hotel of the holiday. A truly exceptional hotel with a comfortable atmosphere and exceptional food. The bedroom and bathroom were immaculate. Suggested to them that they were underselling themselves.

Love this hotel. Stayed many times. Disappointed with quality of breakfasts this time. Hard eggs despite specific request and burnt to a frazzle potato scones. Will try again though

Surroundings of race course unique. Service in dining room was inefficient. Waitress forgot to supply us with serviettes and then promptly forgot to take our order for our dessert, so we ended our meal earlier then expected.

Nice hotel, but couldn't be better for the price !
Room 307. King bed was simply two singles pushed together, so consequently the thin duvet wasn't wide enough for it ! No blankets in the room to throw on top. Room decor was modern and the extra touch of slippers and bathrobes ( which we didn't use ) was nice. Room window could open which we like. Excellent breakfast, but we prefer a pot of tea brought to the table, rather than faff about with cups, tea bags and hot water jugs - especially when the room cost £215. b and b !

Recommended.
Overall very good. Our first night was disturbed by two electric motors operating underneath our suite window. However, this was rectified the next day and moved to a quieter suite. Staff very helpful. Huge portion sizes. Food adequate. Lovely surroundings And grounds. Thoroughly enjoyed our break.

Staying in tbe out buildings was ok with the exception of no Wifi. Will not stay again as made it impissible to complete my work. Stayed 4 nights with no wifi or when it did connect, it would drop off within 1 minute. Very dissapointed.
