Mooi uitzicht maar veel te duur voor het gebodene
Vanwege het uitzicht kozen we voor een bungalow. Het uitzicht was inderdaad prachtig, maar de stoeltjes op het balkon waren zeer oncomfortabel. Aan het uiteinde van de pier stonden wel een paar ligbedden. De wifi in het huisje was ronduit slecht, voor wifi moest je naar het hoofdgebouw. Er was weinig kastruimte, alleen een rek met een paar hangers. Koelkastje en kluisje ontbraken ook. Het (overigens vriendelijke) personeel sprak nauwelijks Engels. De tweede nacht was er extreem veel geluidsoverlast; in naastgelegen restaurant/bar werd tot diep in de nacht keiharde muziek gedraaid. Daar kan de hoteleigenaar natuurlijk weinig aan doen, echter door de gebrekkige isolatie (rieten dak) klonk de muziek binnen net zo hard als buiten. In het hoofdgebouw was de overlast aanzienlijk minder. Gelukkig wilden de portier en een medewerkster die achter de receptie lag te slapen, ons wel helpen. Ze liepen mee naar het restaurant, maar de paar aanwezige dronken gasten wilden de muziek niet zachter zetten. De medewerkers hebben de politie gebeld en deze opgewacht. Om 3 uur 's nachts was het eindelijk stil, met dank aan de hulp van de medewerkers.

Hace falta dar mantenimiento a las cabañas y cuidar la limpieza. La alberca no es funcional, no es alberca, en todo caso sería mejor convertirlo en jacuzzi. La atención es muy buena.

The property was beautiful and the lake front pier was unique. The only inconvenience was the parking was a little tight but we still managed to find space and park.

L'endroit est très bien situé au bord de la lagune. Le personnel est très courtois. Seul petit bémol, il y a un bar juste à côté qui met de la musique de 13h à 23h environ.

Está cerca del centro donde hay variedad de restaurantes, tiene su propio muelle, son pocas habitaciones así que está tranquilo e incluye desayuno continental, así que por el precio me pareció bien. Joseas fué muy amable siempre y nos dió buenas recomendaciones. En general me pareció un excelente lugar a buen precio.

We arrived at 14:45. The person who opened the door immediately said, the check-in is at 15:00! No greetings or anything. It was the same during the breakfast. It started at 8 AM and the same person told us at 7:50, the breakfast starts at 8! She also wanted to sell a tour more expensive than what the official prices were. We booked a standard room, but they gave us a tiny service room "used" as a regular room outside of the house (literally beside the service room). No really happy with our stay there.

Lovely staff. Quaint and quiet hotel. The dock was beautiful and private. I had it to myself for allot of the time. Breakfast was a nice bonus. Bacalar is awesome.

The place is beautiful and the hotel is just like in the pictures. It's a very peaceful place with an incredible environment. Additionally, in the center, there are very good restaurants and games for the kids in the square. The only thing I would improve is the breakfast. There were only eggs (scrambled or omelet) and coffee. I would add some toast, butter, cereals, yogurt, etc.

The property is older so keep that in mind. But for me and my wife we were just using this place for a place to sleep and the location being away from the center but close enough to walk to. So per the cost and the location it is well worth it. If you are looking for an actual hotel room feel, then this is not for you. Service was wonderful. But be advised that speaking Spanish will be very helpful not only for hotel communication but also around town.

This property was magnificent, I had the bungalow on the water. The birds the cranes in the morning with the beautiful trees surrounding me hanging over the waters edge was like paradise. It was peaceful, tranquil, and very relaxing, the nice music from the next-door bar was not a bother as it stopped early in the evening, the convenience of walking out onto the beautiful dock, and jumping in the beautiful lagoon was breath taking, the staff were so delightful, and the free breakfast in the morning was excellent, I think it was the most peaceful, relaxing place. I’ve stayed in a long time if you’re a nature lover, and you love to swim this is the best place.

The location of this property cannot be beat. You’re right on the water, and a short walk to anything and everything. The staff was super friendly, and the breakfast was good. Parking is very limited and a tight squeeze, but you don’t want to park on the road or your car will likely be dinged in the night. My main complaint about this property is the mold/mildew in the cabana we stayed in. The smell was so strong, it hits you as soon as the door is open. It was so bad that my throat and eyes were burning by morning. I think one of the big issues is that they need screens on their doors and windows, so air can get in. The mosquitos are so bad that you have to keep everything closed. I think screens would really help, and you wouldn’t have to constantly run the AC. We only stayed for two nights, but I wouldn’t have been able to stay any longer. After leaving my bags and clothes all smelled horribly of mildew.

Es una casa bonita muy bien ubicada cerca del centro y frente al lago. Sin embargo hay algunas cosas a tomar en cuenta: al registro no había nadie am la recepción tuvimos bajé esperar al rededor de 20 minutos a que se presentara alguien. Incluye desayuno pero debes esperar más o menos 1 hora para que te sea servido porque solo está una señora para hacerlo y no tiene la mejor actitud de servicio. Adicional a detalles como que no nos cambiaban las toallas o no había ropa de cama adicional por el clima frío.

Abbiamo affittato il bungalow per tre notti di fronte la Laguna ed è stata una bella esperienza. Ci saremmo. aspettati un servizio bar e/o ristorante ma non offrivano questi servizi. Consiglierei di chiedere doppie coperte nel. caso in cui durante la notte l'umidità rende la notte fredda.

I can share photos of the unit. There were hand prints above the beds headboard. Not very pleasant to see. Shoe prints on the wall. The room had an unbearable odour. 2 lights not working. Wifi didn’t work at all in the room. The gardens were maintained well. Overall would not recommend at all.

Tiene instalaciones muy bonitas y un ambiente muy tranquilo. Hace falta que tenga más variedad en el desayuno, y cobijas para cuando el clima no es tan caliente, ya que en la cama solo ponen una sábana y no tienen cobijas disponibles. El estacionamiento es pequeño y difícil de accesar si hay otros vehículos.

We won't stay here again. Pictures were misleading. Overpriced for what it was. Room was small, shabby and sparse. We probably should have said something, but we just kept quiet, sucked it up, took it on the chin and laughed at ourselves. We left right after we got up and had breakfast. With that said, the breakfast was good and the lake was a nice view though.

La ubicacion es buena, sin embargo a un lado hay un bar / Karaoke que todo el dia y hasta las 11 pm aproximadamente tiene la musica muy fuerte, en la mañana siguiente de nuestra estadia dejo de haber agua en las instalaciones y no pudismo usar el baño ni la ducha, en todo ,momento nos comentaron que lo iban que reparar sin emabrgo hasta nuestro check out no fue asi
