Bad Peterstal is located in the beautiful Rench Valley in the heart of the northern Black Forest—a region that’s perfect for enjoying nature, peace and quiet, and active recreation. The town itself is a historic spa resort with mineral springs and a pleasantly mild low-mountain climate.

The surrounding area is characterized by dense, dark fir forests, rolling hills, and ever-surprising sweeping views across valleys all the way to the Rhine Valley. In between, clear streams babbling, small waterfalls rush through the gorges, and on the heights, breathtaking panoramas unfold—typical of the Black Forest, but here particularly unspoiled and peaceful.

A special highlight is that Bad Peterstal has been designated a “Premium Hiking Destination”—which means: Everything here is just right for hikers, from the quality of the trails to the natural experiences.

You’ll also enjoy free admission to our family-friendly swimming pool. The accompanying mini-golf course is also free to use with your guest card. Furthermore, you can ride public transportation for free between Pforzheim and Karlsruhe in the north and Basel and Waldshut in the south.
