'From the moment we walked in and we were greeted at the front desk, to our breakfasts, to dinner in the resturant the staff made us feel right at home. The rooms themselves were large, very clean, the beds comfortable, and the views of the clew bay amazing. Room service was fast and hot, the laundry service as well was very fast. I would recommend this hotel in a heart beat to anyone. We stayed in many hotels while in Ireland and this one was by far the best. As a side note there is a lot to do...

'Beautiful, spacious property. Practical Details for Americans: they have a water kettle not a coffee pot, so purchase instant or bag coffee before you come, not beans or ground. They have a washer and dryer. You need to bring pods and be aware, it's a condenser dryer that takes about 2 hours to dry a verysmall load (5-6 items). Be sure to empty the dryer water tank. It's muddy on the property, so bring slippers or alternate shoes plus something to put your shoes in to protect your suitcase....

Hellen and Patrice were great.
The B&B is verry nice and the breakfast is excelent with home made scones and wide selection of choices. They had great tips for dinner and trips during the day.
The beds and rooms are superb!

Lots of friendly local/Irish staff, which I think helps to add warmth to the atmosphere and is perhaps unusual for this size of hotel - perhaps because of Westport’s size? Food is great. 'I was initially given room 101. It had a terrible smell and the WiFi didn't work. The kind staff on the front desk moved me to another room on the same floor as reception.
