Kom naar Bar Harbor en verblijf het hele seizoen in deze cottage met 3 slaapkamers (voorzien van airconditioning) in New England-stijl voor 8 personen met dubbele springfuton en ligbed op de eerste verdieping voor maximaal 10 gasten. Het ligt in het hart van Bar Harbor Village. Acadia National Park, Bar Island en de oceaan liggen op een steenworp afstand. Supermarkt aan de overkant. Fiets of korte wandeling naar de kust, stadgroen om de gratis Acadia-shuttle op te halen, vele restaurants en winkels zonder je zorgen te maken over een parkeerplaats. De eerste verdieping heeft een afgesloten veranda met een raam; woonkamer met tv; volledig uitgeruste keuken; bibliotheekruimte met bureau, printer, films, boeken en spelborden; familiekamer met grote flatscreen-tv en tafelvoetbal / speeltafel; sauna; wasruimte met wasmachine en droger; en ligbad met douche. De tweede verdieping heeft Master king slaapkamer met dakraam / schaduw die automatisch sluit als het regent. Tuin koningin slaapkamer met dakraam / schaduw die automatisch sluit als het regent en Lupin slaapkamer met tweepersoonsbed en dubbele bodem / twin top stapelbed en een complete badkamer met bad / douche. De Master en Lupin slaapkamers geven toegang tot het dek op de tweede verdieping dat uitkijkt over het dorp. Airconditioningseenheden bevinden zich in alle slaapkamers en op de eerste verdieping. Het huisje heeft een mooie gedeeltelijk afgesloten patio met picknicktafel en grill. Er is alleen een telefoon voor lokale en noodoproepen, printer; high speed wireless internet access, kabel, stereo-installaties met CD / DVD-spelers in het huisje. Tijdens het hoogseizoen wisselt u voor wekelijkse (7 nachten) verhuur van zaterdag (check-in na 15:00 - 16:00) tot zaterdag (check-out 10:00 uur).

  • The Criterion in downtown Bar Harbor, Maine, does not look very much from the exterior, but it is a glorious, well-preserved Art Deco style theatre. Opening in 1932, it has served the town of Bar Harbor as a movie palace ever since, accomodating such prominent families as the Rockefellers on their vacations to nearby Mount Desert Island. Kept in fantastic condition over the years, the theatre still has most of its original interior: seats, curtains, and even the original lighting board for stage performances. Bliss in Bar Harbor

This cottage was an ideal place to stay. Check in process was seamless. Location could not be better- easy walk to Bar Harbor and Bar Island. Quick entrance to Acadia. Kitchen was great- Kim left paper towels, napkins and other items available to us. Rooms were nice and happy to have 2 bathrooms. Window AC worked well for us. Thanks Kim, for a great vacation!

The property needs maintenance and TLC. Cobwebs on the stairwell and corners, filthy carpeting. Stairwell is very rickety and unstable for older adults. This house was perfect for our family of 5. Lots of space and very well stocked. Location was perfect. Large grocery store practically across the street and an adorable and tasty pub across the driveway. Quick nice walk to shops and restaurants and close to the park entrance. Owner was AMAZING at communicating which was a super nice bonus. I would absolutely stay here again.

First time in Bar Harbor

This was our first visit to Bar harbor and Acadia National Park. The house was perfect for our family. It was so convenient and we could walk everywhere. It was so clean and very well stocked. We had everything we needed and then some. The host was so accommodating because we had to come a day late due to a hurricane in Florida. We will definitely be back.

Location! Location! Location!

This was the perfect place to stay for our week in Bar Harbor and Acadia. There is a grocery store right across the street. The Sand Bar/Bar Island is just 2 blocks away and is a must see for tide pooling and hiking. There is a great restaurant literally less than 5 steps away for breakfast, lunch or dinner.It was really good! Kim was very helpful throughout the stay. The house is stocked with everything you need. We have stayed in rentals when this hasn’t always been the case.You are sure to enjoy your trip when staying here!

Bar Harbor and Acadia adventure

Great property for a visit to Acadia NP and Bar Harbor. There were 6 adults and we all loved the location of this house. You can’t get a better location. A grocery store that you can walk to…a restaurant across the street. Shopping and many restaurants just a short walk away. The house is super comfortable and is stocked so well with everything you need. We all agreed that we would go back. Communication with the owner was great.

Nice Little Cottage

Den in back of the house was very nice - bright with skylights and quiet. We spent most of our indoor time there. Location is great, in that it’s just off Cottage and 1/2 block from grocery store. However, new construction on the street feels overwhelming, which is too bad for all the properties on this short street. The rest of the house is pretty small. King and queens barely fit in the bedrooms. Further, wood stairs are a bit steep and are very squeaky and loud. The baths and kitchen were fine, but really need an update…look like they haven’t been touched since 1970s. Communications with owner were pretty good, but written info in house was often contradictory.

Bar Harbor fall get away!

This home was everything that we wanted for our Maine visit. The house was clean, comfortable and had all the amenities needed. It was perfectly located to walk to local sites, restaurants and shopping. Easy access to Acadia National Park as well. Family Vacation success!

Aysgarth Cottage was perfect for our family vacation to Acadia. The house is super close to the park and walking distance to the grocery store for hiking snacks and restaurants for breakfast/dinner. The house was very clean and comfortable for our family of 6 adults. Kim was very responsive and left clear instructions. Our only complaint is washing/drying the linens before the 10am check out time is very tight. Even making sure towels were done the night before, waking up, packing, broom cleaning, and taking out the trash, left us down to the wire trying to switch the second load of sheets to the dryer to get out in time. Considering the cleaning fee, it'd be easier to get out at 10am just stripping the sheets. Overall happy with the stay!

The house exceeded our expectations. Very clean, well appointed with many comforts of home. Communication with owner was excellent. Location is the best- just far enough from the center of town to be quiet but a quick 5 minute walk away. Would highly recommend this property.
