We loved the beautiful home and it had every amenity and every thing we could need. We enjoyed sitting by the fire pit. There was a fabulous gift basket waiting for us and cookies in the fridge to bake. The kitchen is so well stocked to cook in. It felt like home! We would love to definitely return.

My husband and I stayed at this beautiful property for four nights, but it was so peaceful and serene, we would have gladly stayed four weeks. The hosts have designed and outfitted the house (which is newly built) to be as comfortable as a full time residence. The house is thoughtfully laid out and situated on the property to maximize enjoyment of the coastal setting. You’re just 40 yards from the ocean which means you can enjoy the sounds of the sea whether you’re outside by the fire pit or inside in the cozy living room. We spent two days on Mount Desert Island and two days exploring the Schoodic peninsula. Honestly the Schoodic is so nice, you’re not missing out on anything if you choose to stay near the house to hike or bike. Bring bug repellent and firewood so you can spend the evening outside staring up at the stars!

From start to finish, our experience was unbelievable! Communication was exceptional and words cannot describe how beautiful the property is. We loved sitting around the fire pit next to the ocean, lounging and eating our meals on the deck. The house is fully furnished with everything you could possibly need. Our family loved the area and look forward to revisiting. Definitely an A++ summer vacation.

We have stayed at a number of VRBO properties and have almost always had a great experience, but I have to say that this is the first time that the property dramatically exceeded our expectations. Although the property looks good in the photos, they do not do it justice- experiencing the rise and fall of the tides on a daily basis, and being able to sleep with the windows open and the sound of gentle waves lapping against the shore was just what we needed. The owners were helpful and responsive, and the property was clean and well-maintained.

This was the perfect place to stay on our family vacation to Maine! My 2 and 4 year old slept great in this quiet getaway. The pack and play provided was especially convenient for my youngest.

I have stayed at many, many rental properties, and this is absolutely one of the best for so many reasons! On two of the five days we had here, we didn’t even leave the property (by choice!). The house itself is modern, looks impeccable, and is well styled and designed. We chose to stay here for our relaxing, coastal Maine getaway rather than Bar Harbor because while we did want to spend one day in Acadia NP (a very easy 1 hour drive), we were craving more of a quaint town, private setting experience and Bar Harbor was insanely touristy and busy. This place is the vibe we wanted. There are a couple awesome, hole in the wall restaurants with amazing lobster, lobster rolls, drinks, and blueberry desserts that more than satisfied our quest for a great foodie experience with a local feel. The house is also right off the Acadia NP Schoodic Loop Road, which ended up being our favorite part of the park instead of the more crowded MDI loop! Such a great day spent exploring this peninsula. The view from the backyard and listening to the waves and exploring the rocky coast at low tide were exactly what we were hoping for. If you’re looking for an authentic, relaxing, gorgeous Maine experience that you don’t want to share with thousands of other tourists, do yourself a favor and book this place immediately! 10/10.

Beautiful views. Clean and had everything we needed. We enjoyed this rural cottage. It was away from all the busy hubbub of Bar Harbor yet only a little over an hour’s drive to visit there. Had everything we needed to cook meals.

This rental could not be more perfect. The host (who lives next door) provides everything you could possibly need for your stay. The immaculate cottage appears to be brand new and is immediately in front of the water. The area is remote for a relaxing vacation and beautiful scenery.

This house was way beyond what we could have even hoped for. It is immaculate, beautifully decorated, and the view is incomparable. We were there for only 4 nights and all of us were sad to leave and go on to the next part of our trip. The lawn and fire pit area were awesome. It literally could not have been better. There is nothing I would change!! It is quite a drive to the MDI part of Acadia but if you are aware of that and plan for it, it’s fine, we actually like the Schoodic part of Acadia better anyway. Long story short…. Don’t hesitate to book this house, you will not be disappointed!

Everything was perfect from start to finish. Debby the owner has the most perfect place. She thought of everything. This place is absolutely immaculate. Debby was so kind and brought us over warm homemade blueberry muffins. This is a beautiful spot to just get away from it all. We will definitely be back. Definitely 5 star!!

I can’t recommend this property enough! Debby & John are super helpful and are right there if you would need anything. But honestly they have it all covered - they even had a card for my granddaughter on the counter when we arrived(It was a graduation trip for her). I texted a couple of times asking for recommendations and she always responded in a short amount of time. The cottage was immaculate which means a lot to me and my daughter-in-law!! The pictures are accurate - it was so pleasant, it was always a joy to come back to the cottage and the view. There were only two things to be aware of - if you are going to be hiking in Acadia or shopping in Bar Harbor it is a 45 minute drive(but honestly we didn’t mind because we enjoyed the view and cottage so much). When I found the cottage I thought we could use the ferry which is close by but it turns out it hadn’t started running yet. Also the mattress was softer than we’re use to, they really could use an upgrade; along with the pillows. I almost hate to mention those because we really did enjoy our time there. Debby & John are great to work with - all in all we had a super vacation!!!!

Our family enjoyed every aspect of this lovely property. The house was immaculate, the view stunning, and we literally (well almost) had a national park in our back yard. There are a couple of great restaurants that are nearby and even in the time of Covid-19 we were able to take out and enjoy our meals at home. It is a bit of a drive to the main part of Acadia National Park, but the smaller Schoodic Park is so near that we went almost every day for a hike or to enjoy the beautiful coast.

This was our first trip to Maine and the Acadia area and we absolutely can’t wait to return! The house was perfect. Absolutely gorgeous on the inside with stunning views of the water. We cherished our time by the fire, climbing the rocks and soaking in the view. The inside is newly built by the owners and is clean, well stocked and beautifully decorated. The owners are accessible and very helpful for tips on the area or anything you need to know. We loved the accessibility to the Schoodic part of Acadia and wish we never had to leave. Highly recommend!! You won’t want to leave either!
