 Als ik op zoek ben naar vakantiehuizen, is mijn grootste zorg "is het schoon"! 99% van de tijd waarin we verblijven zijn niet schoon. Een van de redenen dat ik u verzeker dat ons huisje ONMISBAAR is en klaar voor uw aankomst !!!!! Ik draai het huisje om met mijn personeel tussen elke reservering. Goose Cove Cottage in Trenton ligt op enkele minuten van Acadia National Park. We zijn 75 voet van de waterkant en hebben een prachtig uitzicht op Western Bay en Acadia Mountains. Ons huisje is compleet met alle voorzieningen om uw verblijf comfortabel te maken.
De begane grond heeft twee grote slaapkamers, compleet met inloopkasten, complete privébaden, queensize bedden en schuifregelaars die uitkomen op het afgeschermde dek. We hebben een kleine slaapkamer met een tweepersoonsbed tegenover de grote badkamer. Er is een grote hal, open plattegrond met keuken, eetkamer en woonkamer. Prachtige kathedraalplafonds, hardhouten vloeren en granieten open haard.
Het hok is compleet met twee aparte bedden en een gezellige, rustige ruimte ideaal om te lezen of te ontspannen, met uitzicht op de woonkamer en de baai. (Dit kan worden veranderd in een kingsize bed met voorafgaande kennisgeving)


Loop vanaf ons terras naar de kust en verken het strand of
breng uw dagen door met het verkennen van de kustplaatsen van Maine of bezoek Mount Desert Island met zijn vele dorpen en Acadia National Park. De mogelijkheden zijn eindeloos, zoals walvissen kijken, bootverhuur, vissen, zwemmen, kajakken, winkelen, tennis of gebruik maken van de vele wandelpaden.

Ellsworth ligt op slechts tien minuten afstand, waar u een verscheidenheid aan winkels en winkels vindt. Trenton Market Place is in de buurt voor al uw boodschappen. Ons huisje is het perfecte middelpunt om te beginnen met het verkennen, ongeacht uw bestemming. (We zijn ongeveer 40-50 minuten verwijderd van Bangor, Blue Hill, Bucksport, Milbridge of Cherryfield.)

Als u een pauze nodig heeft van de dagelijkse bezichtiging, kook dan uw eigen kreeft op het dek met onze buitenstomer, of geniet van steaks en hamburgers op de grill. Met deze opties kunt u volop genieten van uw vakantie. Kreeften en verse zeevruchten zijn dichtbij en misschien ook enkele speciale verrassingen!

Deze prachtige kustgemeenschap biedt ook veel eetgelegenheden. We houden menu's bij de hand om de lokale 'hotspots' te tonen.

We loved our stay in Trenton, ME. The house was clean and roomy. The deck views were amazing. Beds were comfortable. Check in was easy. Close access to Acadia and Bar Harbor.

The view is exceptional, and the home’s features were mostly as advertised. However, the stay was impacted by excessive reminders, like notes about removing shoes and labels on nearly everything. Additionally, despite the $1,000 per night rate, basic amenities like toilet paper were limited, which detracted from the experience. Vinyl mattress covers and the requirement to wash and dry our towels (in order to earn a good guest rating) before 10am check out just left a bad taste.

We were fortunate to find Goose Cove Cottage, a relaxing place to unwind while visiting Acadia National Park. This spotless home is very comfortable, the kitchen spacious and easy to work in, with a deck and firepit with water view. The host was very responsive, gave excellent directions; we would definitely stay here again when visiting the area.

We stayed here for our family vacation. It was extremely clean, spacious and the views were amazing! We rented kayaks and had them delivered as suggested by the property owners. Our college aged kids enjoyed kayaking in the cove at high tide. The house has well equipped kitchen, gas grill and fire pit. The location is very private and about 20 minutes from Acadia National Park entrance and the village of Bar Harbor. We enjoyed coming home to our rental house each night to enjoy the peacefulness after our daily excursions.

We really enjoyed the property. The setting was so tranquil and inviting. We enjoyed watching the clam fishermen dig for clams in the lake behind the cabin when the tide was out.. A first for these Louisiana folks! It was close enough to all of the Bar Harbor activities we wanted to do yet far enough out to be private and relaxing. The hosts were quick to respond to any questions we had before and during our stay. I would highly recommend this property if you are considering a trip to the Bar Harbor area!!

Our party of 5 stayed at Goose Cove Cottage for 5 nights in late July/early August to celebrate our special birthdays.The property is in an exceptionally beautiful and peaceful waterfront location near Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park — close enough for daily outings but far from the bustling crowds. The cottage is very spacious and clean, certainly the cleanest rental we’ve ever stayed in. Our group of 2 couples and 1 single person was very comfortable, whether hanging out on the spacious deck overlooking the cove or inside the open plan living area during a rainstorm. We enjoyed using the firepit on a clear evening, just sitting there taking in the gorgeous views as night drew in. The kitchen is well stocked, but we didn’t prepare any dinners there, preferring to dine out at a local lobster pound (the excellent Gateway Lunt’s Lobster Pound, less than a mile away) and in Bar Harbor’s many restaurants. Sugar Bakery is also a short distance from the cottage and is also excellent — they supply to several Bar Harbor establishments. We loved our time at Goose Cove Cottage and would certainly return in future if we plan another Bar Harbor vacation. Highly recommended.

Very quiet location about 20 minutes outside of Bar Harbor, ME. It’s located on the water with beautiful views but water isn’t accessible due to the type of shoreline and tides. You could possibly have a kayak but it would be challenging. It’s a nice quiet location to get away from the crowds in Bar Harbor but you have to have a car to do anything. It’s about a 15 minute ride to the Acadia National Park entrance. There is nothing physical/athletic to do so all hiking, boating, etc. has to be done in park or Bar Harbor. Would recommend bringing bikes and would only recommend house for adults.

We really enjoyed our time here! It was a beautiful cottage and so centrally located for all of our activities. We enjoyed lots of time in Bar Harbor, Acadia, at the antiques shops towards Bangor and up in Moosehead Lake. It was so nice to be able to spread out, each with our own room, at a cozy home each night. The hosts were very friendly and respectful. Highly recommend!!

I recently stayed at a beautiful Vrbo property with a stunning water view, and it was an absolute delight! The house was impeccably clean, making me feel instantly at ease. This is the most equiped and organized vrbo I've ever stayed out. Great location to Arcadia, Bar Harbor, and even a road trip for FANTASITIC rafting on Penobscot River. Great communication with mgr who was available to answer questions and provide suggestions. We arranged for kayaks to be delivered to the property. We had a great time on the water; super calm for kayaking. Only challenge was the timing of tides - a new experience for us. With upwards of a 10' tide difference, you have to launch near high tide to avoid the mud flats. Luckily we were busy during the day because the house was very warm during the day due to the heat wave; cooled off when sun went down. Great place!

This cottage was just what we needed to truly feel like our family of 4 adults was in Maine on vacation for the first time. Lots of elbow room for when everyone needs their own space after a long tourist day. The college age kids enjoyed that they each had their own room with a queen bed. The house is well appointed and very clean. Now on to what sold us to book the place (besides the queen beds in 3 rooms and size of the home). Multiple rooms and the very large patio has an amazing water view that was definitely enjoyed rain or shine. Nice responsive owner as well.
