Although our room was very small compared to our friends, we absolutely love this hotel.The continuous buffet, free wine and tap beer were very convenient and good. The rich Baroque interior makes you feel like you’re in a palace. The service and cleanliness was very impressive. We would definitely return.

As a 3 star this hotel was amazing. The history and character that it holds is outstanding! Make you feel like you’re a royal with golden walls it truly is photographic. I stayed in the suite which had a hugee sitting area, however the bedroom and bathroom was very small compared to the rest of the room. The bed was so comfy we slept brilliantly. However the bathroom was a let down, there was chipped paint, stains, a broke shower head holder and mould on the glass ceiling. This being said it had no effect on our stay. The location was so convenient, only a few minutes walk to the main square and metros. The staff were amazing! Got greeted at reception and taken to our rooms, they would always say hello around the hotel, just fabulous. The all day food and unlimited drink was so handy and a brilliant touch. Loved our stay!

Localisation parfaite
Excellente localisation de l'hôtel, en limite du quartier gothique, et pas loin de la plupart des points d'intérêt. Dans un premier temps, notre chambre était petite, sans lumière et donnait directement sur le couloir d'entrée (bruit). Suite à notre demande nous avons eu une meilleure chambre dès la 2e nuit. Le personnel est très sympathique et à l'écoute.

We arrived as two zombie-like travelers. The hotel treated us like royalty. The buffet was a life saver. The room was charming, clean. The staff was so understanding. Definitely a treat for us.

booked under VIP Gold status with promised sparkling wine which i never received...don't offer it if you don't give it...i never expect the upgrade but the wine i expect! This is a charming time warp hotel with stairs to access reception and rooms. There is a small lift for baggage once you negotiate the entry stairs. All day drinks and snack buffet makes this hotel good value and convenient.

The staff was wonderful. From the two who checked us in, answered any questions we had and arranged for transportation to the train station our last day, Alex who showed us to our room and the ladies who attended the room They had our room ready early too. There is a simple 24/7 buffet which was nice for breakfast and a quick snack. Dinner suggestions were always spot on. I would suggest another person at the desk until midnight. There is construction going on across the street but it was quiet in our room and it fid not affect our stay. Excellent accommodations.

The hotel is beautiful. Our suite was amazing and the 24 hour free buffet was delicious. The staff was incredibly helpful. We loved the park across the street. The location is great. We did the hop on hop off bus that was located in the Plaza Catalunya which is just a couple of blocks away.

Every member of the staff was friendly warm time and gracious. you never felt that you are not in your own home sitting in your own living room. .everything that was done with the guest in mind .I'm truly privileged to have at stayed few days here. if I am ever back in Barcelona guess where I'll be staying .

Originally booked a room that looked different from the pictures online. I was most interested in the suite because the decor of the room is beautiful. When we arrived at the hotel we were disappointed in the size and look of our room. I spoke to Laia about switching rooms and she informed me she will speak with the manager and get back to me. A few minutes later she told me that she would be able to accommodate me for the second night of our booking with no extra charge. This brought me so much happiness. Not only did she deliver but she exceeded expectations. The next day the other receptionist was very nice as well. Unfortunately I do not remember her name. Andres was also super helpful and friendly. He helped us with our luggage. The hotel is beautiful and they have a snack room available that you have access to at any time. It has an old Victorian theme and is located in the middle of all of the action.

This is such a cute place to stay. Just for the history and the palace feel alone should be the reason to stay at this hotel. The beds are not the most comfortable or the rooms not very spacious but we still thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend experiencing this hotel for yourself.

Perfect location to venture out and walk to many sites. It is also close to the metro for those farther away like Sagrada Famillia. Old world feel, small rooms but very comfortable. Great staff. 24 hour buffet was a treat to drop in from your exploring for a quick snack and cool drink.
