'I never thought about what prison washcloths must be like until I arrived at this 60-70 year old motel. Black grime on edges/corners of floor, especially in the bathroom; random hairballs too. Unmatching furniture gives appearance of a Goodwill store. Mattresses are about 5 in. thick, pillows about 4 in. thick, sheets are cheap and loose, and I found myself wondering what was on the bedspread because I assume it's cleaned about as often as the floor. 'This property was disgusting and I would not recommend it to anyone & I was afraid I was going to get sick while staying there. It reeked of mold. 'We have been going to Drifting Sands for 4 summers now and hope it never changes!! We always love the clean room, staff, ease of beach access and parking and being able to bring our furry four legged family member (dog)!!! We cant wait to return again this season. 'Stayed at The Beach House at Drifting Sands for 2 nights. The room was nice, beds and pillows were comfortable. The Kitchenette was also good although we didn’t have to use anything. However the drapes were awful. Panels were short and not enough leaving wide gaps allowing light to come through and having no privacy. Getting to the beach was easy and quick. Great location.'
