Not from the renovationworks, but from cutting corners in cleaning for a long time. Curtains were torn. And as a bonus we found a hige roach in the breakfast-area.. 'If there is one thing you want in a motel it is a decent bed. We did not have that. Both our backs were really hurting after a night of poor sleep. Would not recommend. We also stayed at the Budget Inn in Barstow. Much, much better!'
