'It was very disappointing, we arrived midday and there was only one waiter in the bar trying to serve drinks for everyone in the bar, restaurant and around the outdoor pool. He was also taking orders for food and serving the food. He really was doing his best and could only keep apologising. To make things worse there was only one person in the kitchen!!
The hotel is poorly managed and desperately needs more staff in the bar and restaurant.
We were glad we didn’t stay there for dinner.

Terrible stay. Upon arrival we had to wait to check in. No greeting, no explanation, just a key handed over by an unfriendly receptionist. Absolutely no sense of hospitality.
The room was far from clean: stained bedding, mold in the bathroom, and a damaged wall. The phone didn’t even work, which meant I had to go to reception in the middle of the night when my friend became sick. The staff showed no empathy at all, even laughed at the situation, and said cleaning could only be done the next...

'I highly recommend this hotel. Very friendly and professional staff. Every member of staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. An excellent choice of breakfasts included in the price. The restaurant was excellent in the evenings. The location is fantastic with wonderful views of the beautiful Peak countryside.'
