The Space:

Shockerwick Cottage is a beautifully restored 17th-century Grade II listed building, built from traditional honey-coloured stone and enjoying breathtaking panoramic views across the picturesque Bybrook Valley.



Set over three floors, this special cottage combines period charm with stylish contemporary comfort. Original features including exposed beams, stone mullion windows, vaulted ceilings, wooden latch doors and open fireplaces create a warm and characterful atmosphere throughout.



The spacious sitting room with wood burner is perfect for cosy evenings, complete with comfortable sofas and tv.



The light-filled dining and garden room opens directly onto the terrace for relaxed indoor-outdoor living. A large dining table with seating for up to 10 guests is the perfect place to enjoy a meal together with spectacular views across the valley.



The stylish kitchen includes a central breakfast bar and integrated gas hob, oven, fridge, freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster and Nespresso coffee machine, making it ideal for entertaining family and friends.



There are four beautifully appointed bedrooms are spread across the three floors. The first bedroom, on the ground floor, enjoys patio doors that open onto the garden with a king size bed and an ensuite bathroom with dual basins, shower and WC.



On the second floor are two double bedrooms, both with comfortable beds and wardrobe space. There is a also bathroom with walk in shower, sink and WC next to the two bedrooms.



On the top-floor suite is a beautiful spacious double bedroom with en suite shower room.



Additional spaces include a snug room with TV, office (with desk, printer and two plug in computer monitors.), utility room (including washing machine and tumble dryer), offering plenty of room to unwind during your stay.



Outside, guests can enjoy the lovely garden and a stone terrace perfectly positioned for morning coffee or sunset drinks overlooking the valley or use the BBQ on warm summer nights.



Private parking with EV charger (charges apply) is available for two vehicles maximum, with easy access to both the Cotswolds countryside and the many attractions, restaurants and spas of Bath. The cottage has high speed internet delivered via Starlink.



Please note that this property is not suitable for stag, hens or parties.



We welcome a maximum of two well behaved dogs, fees apply.



Guest Access:

Guests have access to the entire property for the duration of their stay.



The Neighborhood:

We recommend travelling to the cottage by car. The cottage is in a rural location, with no public transport that services the village. There are no shops or restaurants within easy walking distance from the cottage.

Other Things to Note:

Please note that this cottage can accept a maximum of 8 guests. We request that guests arrive in a maximum of 2 cars. This is because parking is limited to the driveway. Please park neatly, ensuring that the gate to the field is not blocked, access is required 24 hours a day. Thank you.

The cottage has an EV charger that you are welcome to use. Usage is charged at £15 per day of your stay. e.g A 2 night stay is charged at £30.
