Hotel near Bath city center
This hotel was a disappointment for the amount of money we paid. The room itself was decent and the bed was comfortable, but the wifi didn't work at all. We complained about this, and the person at reception had us run around, trying different routers over and over again, but we never got it to work. In the end, we just had to sit in the lobby every time we wanted to use it. For the price we paid, I found it very annoying. Also, our toilet was very difficult to flush. We had to pump the handle at least 6 times, which took a surprising amount of force, to get it to go. And then, after every flush, the water ran for about 30 minutes, which was super annoying. The man at a reception was also very short-tempered. But, in his defense, he seemed to be the only employee, and apparently had to work from 7am until 10pm, every day. On the positive side, the location is pretty good, it's just a 15-minute walk into the city center (if you don't get lost). And there's space to park your car (although the car park is a little small and its unclear where you are allowed to park). The breakfast was decent, with an option to get both continental and cooked.

Staff was pleasant and helpful. Whole property was run down and not at all like the website pictures. Barely adequate,eg masking tape over cracked tiles in the bathroom so toes aren't cut on the sharp edge.

There is nothing to say really, its old and tired and cheap furnishings and should be painted grey to match its feel but it served a purpose for one night, its a £50 a night hotel tbh

Beautiful location. Staff helpful. Room and bathroom were clean. View from the room windows excellent. Easy to walk to the Roman Baths. Dining options nearby as well as at the property (if booked in advance).

The room smelled damp, the bathroom fan was not working and there was mould ingrained in the tile grout. Manager was made aware and was unable to change rooms as fully booked. He contacted the owners to make them aware that I was not happy. I am awaiting their decision as to any reimbursement for this sub standard room.

Durch einen Unfall konnten wir nicht bis 22.00 Uhr einchecken. Obwohl wir öfter mit dem Manager Danny telefonierten wurde dieses nicht ermöglicht. Eine Verschiebung der gebuchten Nächte wurde ebenfalls nicht ermöglicht, obwohl Zimmer frei waren. So bezahlten wir zwei Nächte für eine Nacht Aufenthalt. Die eine Nacht hat uns gereicht. Das Zimmer war dreckig und muffig. Große Spinnenweben vor dem Fenster und kein Wasserdruck in der Dusche die voller Schimmelpilz war. Das meist gehörte Satz vor und nach dem einchecken war " we can´t do it". Die Wäscherei, die in der Unterkunftsbeschreibung steht, existiert nicht. Sie war einer der auschlaggebenden Gründe dieses Hotel zu wählen. Das Preis Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt absolut nicht!

I am sorry that you had an accident and couldn't stay for the two nights. However I am disappointed and a little perplexed that you have given the property and myself personally such a poor review.You asked me to alter the dates on your reservation form, so you could make an insurance claim and I explained that this was not possible. After several attempts to explain this to you, you then snatched the form out of my hand and refused to give it back unless I agreed to change the dates on it. This part seems to be missing from your review?You say the room was dirty, but the only detail you provide was that there were spider webs OUTSIDE the room. Whilst we are very close to the centre of Bath, we are in a rural location, so this sort of thing can happen.However at no time did you make us aware of any dissatisfaction that you had with the accommodation.They only thing you made us aware of, repeatedly, vociferously and violently was my inability to alter the date on your reservation form.RegardsDanny- the apparently unhelpful one.

I spent one night there with my father and expected that this place would have been a good example of a historic type building and room. That is not what this place is. The room was musty and very cold as the heating system was broken. Tv was a small computer monitor that didn’t work that well. The beds were of very low quality and we could feel the springs in them The bathroom shower was practically unusable it was so small. I would not stay there again.

The hotel was clean and in a good location. The room was a very strange layout, but that’s fine. The bed was terrible, the tv did not work, the shower was small and very weak, the lavatory was oddly low, there were no plug sockets by the bedside tables and the radiators could not be turned off. We were told to put our towels over the radiator to prevent it getting too hot. We opened the window, but were also on the lower ground floor and slightly concerned about security, especially since our window was next to the entrance to the garden. We needed to let the hair dryer run for a bit before using as it was dusty. I would not stay here again and would not recommend it to others.

Disappointing for the price.
Cramped and damp bathroom with an odour of mould. small shower cubicle with broken door. Broken socket. choice of breakfast was cooked or none with or without toast but no jams etc or juices which you really expect from even middle of the road hotels. my friend if going to London for 4 days are Christmas to a 4 star spa hotel for less than double what I paid for this and is laughing!

Really great place to stay. Bit of a walk up the hill from the station but plenty of parking space if you have a car. The man at the reception was very friendly and happy to give recommendations on what to do around Bath. Would choose Wentworth House Hotel again in a heartbeat.

I chose this property as it had parking and it was within walking distance of central Bath. I was very disappointed with the condition of the bed because I could feel ALL the metal springs. It was very uncomfortable. In addition, the tv reception was very poor and frustrating to watch.

Very helpful staff. As the hotel wasn't very full at this time of year I was upgraded to a nicer room. Less stairs and the en suite was en suite and not across the corridor involving 2 keys. At busy times the car park gets a bit crowded but fine this time.

When we arrived at the hotel the room we were given was a freezing cold room in the basement that smelled of mould. The wall radiator did not work and the only heater was a small electric heater. The Manager could not offer us any alternate room, or options to improve the situation. With my partner having a health condition we were forced to walk out and pay for alternate accomodation

I am sorry that you did not enjoy your stay. As you wanted a twin room and we only have one, it wasn't easy to find an alternative room. However I did offer addition heating which was declined. Also it appeared to me that you had already decided to leave before bringing your dissatisfaction to our attention.
