gastvrouw was erg vriendelijk, mooie locatie op loopafstand van het centrum en toch erg rustig. mooi uitzicht op de Kathedraal. Ontbijt was goed bedoeld echter niet onze smaak, wel voldoende en lekker maar je moet ervan houden.

This was a lovely property hosted by Marielle. We were in the upstairs bedroom but she had an elevator installed so it was no problem. The room (overlord room) had a direct view of the Bayeux Cathedral. It looked fantastic in the evening light. The room was rather overdone in the WW2 theme, but overall a very comfortable stay. It is literally across the road from the cathedral and tapestry museum with lots of shops and cafes nearby. The plus for us was laundry and an onsite car park

We stayed here for several days. This property is exceedingly comfortable and the attention to details by the owner is noticeable. I recommend this situation at my highest level, I hope you will agree. Spacious room, excellent bed, walkable to many enjoyable places, city, dining, train, river walk, museums, fabulous. It is almost like being at home, very fine.

This is a bed and breakfast in the host's home. We had the superior double room with a view of the cathedral. It made a wonderful base for our tours of the D-Day beaches, Mont St. Michel and the town of Bayeux. Mireille is a friendly host who works hard to make your stay enjoyable. She did our laundry for us and made sure we had breakfast before heading out for site seeing each morning.

It was an amazing experience, the place is marvelous, the host is the best person I have seen in years, very very friendly and mindful. She is the reason our stay was so good. Would definitely come back and recommend to the whole world!!

This is a wonderful place to stay. Mireille went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Her breakfasts were amazing. The superior double room has a beautiful view of the Bayeux Cathedral. Everything within Bayeux...the tapestry, the Cathedral, the restaurants...is within a 10 to 15 minute walk.

A must stay in Bayeux!
Our stay was outstanding. Our host was so thoughtful and accommodating to our young baby. She made us a beautiful breakfast and the room was so nice! The room was large, has plenty of space for a baby bed and a nice shower. Our room even had a view of the cathedral! The house was small with just a few rooms and plenty of space to hang out around the home. The location was great. Just a three minute walk to the center of town, but down a side street so not loud at all. When we go back to visit Bayeux we will absolutely stay here. There was free parking right outside, airco in the room, and lots of maps of nearby things to do. The tapestry was also right down the street.Highly, highly recommended staying here!

The stay at Friendly Home Bayeux was fantastic. The hostess was very friendly and very helpful in all respects. The hostess met us at the train station and drove us around to see the town and to the hotel and back to the train station when on the final day we left Bayeux for Paris. The hostess drove us to important tourist attractions in the area, Omaha Beach cemetary, the Overlord museum and the town of Port-en-Bessin-Huppain. The room was very clean and spacieuos and the beds were very splendid. The garden was beautiful and the souroundings wonderful. The town has three very interesting museums, Musée de la Tapisserie de Bayeux, Museum of the Battle of Normandy, Museum of Art and History Baron Gerard. The hostess helped finding a shop to buy a new recharger to my iPhone for the one I had accidentaly lost on the plane. All in all a very pleasant stay at Friendly Home Bayeux. Great!

Perfect location! The view of the Bayeux Cathedral is astounding, and the wondrous Bayeux Tapestry is a few minutes walk. Best of all, this is one of the cleanest places I've stayed in France. The owner has thought of amenities that really help international travelers, like bedside USB charging ports (no plug needed), a quality hair dryer, and a wine bottle opener.

Unbelievably special for my brother and me. Every minor thing of the stay made a difference for us, between our excursions to the historic + moving, Normandy D-Day beaches; etc. The hostess of the Friendly Home Bayeux is an angel. And we loved the patriotism.

Small place with a friendly hostess. We did not have breakfast, and are happy with not having to entertain hostess and other guests. Nice town. Short distance to the tapestry museum and the cathedral.

Super Beliggenhed - dejlig atmosfære
Centralt beliggende og meget hyggeligt overnatningssted, der emmer af historie. Et fantastisk værtspar, der var engagerede i den historiske del af området og delte ud af deres viden. Lidt svært at finde og man skal huske at ringe til stedet og bekræfte sin ankomst.

Sejour en famille d une nuit. Tres agreable. Avions la chambre familiale: un grand lit tres confortable et le canapé lit pour les ados. L hôte est très accueillante et passionnée par l histoire (debarquement) ce que nous avons apprécié. Rapport qualité prix raisonnable pour une nuit.

Historisk Hus i Beyeux
Huset som er meget velholdt, ligger på en smuk villavej lige midt i centrum. Værelset var komfortabelt og rengøringen var perfekt. Eisenhower har overnattet i huset og der er megen historie om 2.verdenskrig i selve huset. God oplevelse.

Hidden Gem with a view to die for
If you NEED a fast and stable internet connection, then this place is not for you. It is very slow and patchy. However, everything else is great. Modern, very clean and tidy with friendly staff. Comfortable bed with excellent linen and towels. try and get the Overlord room as this is a queen size bed with huge TV, triple sofa, armchair and a view out of the window to the Cathedral to die for. I did not have the breakfast as I believe that €15 per person per day is expensive but not having it, I cannot comment as to it's value for money. There is a kettle with free tea and an ice machine in the public areas should you need an obligatory cuppa post a busy day. A 2 minute walk to the Tapestry museum and the centre of town this is well positioned not only for walking into Bayeux but also, as I did, for using as a base to travel to the wider Normandy area. Even Mont-St-Michel is only a 1.25 hr drive. Overall, I really enjoyed this hidden gem.
