'Overall excellent place to stay.
Staff friendly and service fantastic.
The only downside was music could be heard from the bar area at night until approximately 10pm. This didn’t bother us, but it’s worth bearing in mind when making a reservation.
Location was superb, short drive to Bamburgh Castle, Seahouses for trips to the Farne Isles and even Holy Island was within reach.
The beautiful beach at Beadnell was only a short walk away.
Would stay here again in a heartbeat and probably one of the...

'This has been my favourite UK staycation! The hosts were so lovely and kind. The rooms were clean and have everything you need with a few extra touches like dressing gown, heaters/hot water bottle and tea/coffee.
The cooked breakfast was soo tasty!
The location is perfect and not too far from everything..lovely views of cheviot hills.
I have nothing negative to say...it was the perfect stay! Thank you!
I will definitely stay here again next time I am in Northumberland!'

'Easily the best accommodation of a four-day stay in Northumberland. Everything in the Whittling House makes your trip a little bit better, from lovely staff to beautiful decor, homemade shortbread for the rooms to the comfy armchairs in the bar. Definitely worth the more premium price!'

'Fabulous hotel. Clean and modern room with lovely view of the courtyard. Staff were so helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. Great location right next to the castle. Breakfast was fantastic, fresh and cooked to order. '

'Parking good. Staff excellent team both at hotel and wedding venue at Doxford Barnes.
Hot tub not open. Too cold
Excellent place to stay. Breakfast excellent. Evening meal we had excellent. Service good.
Only down side. Checkout 10am. Most hotels check out 11. Felt rushed this morning '
