Located near to shopping, a variety of both chain and local restaurants, and a plethora of local activities, Traveler’s Rest is situated conveniently between Winterplace Ski Resort and the New River Gorge National Park; and only minutes from Bechtel Reserve—the high adventure base and national scout camp training center for the Boy Scouts of America. Access to all that West Virginia has to offer is extremely convenient by using the main arteries of State Route 19 and Interstates 64 and 77.

Traveler’s Rest is designed with a cottage-industrial ambiance, helping our guests feel right at home. Beautiful hardwood floors in the main living area are original to the house and have been refinished to gorgeous imperfection. Central heating and air throughout the house will ensure that you are comfortable. Artwork throughout the house features iconic images from Southern West Virginia.

The master bedroom features a brand-new queen bed, full-size closet with plenty of space to hang clothes, finished with a shower/tub stocked with soaps and fresh towels.

The second bedroom features two full beds, full closet, chest of drawers, and an adjacent bathroom with shower/tub also stocked with soaps and fresh towels.

The upstairs living room has plenty of spacious seating, centered around a 65” TV and entertainment center.

In the roomy dining area, you will find a table, suitable for six, and extra chairs to add more guests.

The beautiful kitchen is finished with plenty of cabinet space and shimmering quartz countertops, offering the perfect space to prepare meals or just a cup of coffee. Stock up on groceries and store them in the refrigerator or in the spacious pantry. The appliances include microwave, stove, oven, teapot, toaster, waffle maker, food processor, slow cooker, Ninja mixer, coffee maker, and hot pot.

The finished basement, with two massive Ultimate Sack bean bag chairs, is a great space for kids to lounge and watch movies or to play games. The 55” TV, is a great size to hook up video games or to stream a show. The basement is finished with brand-new carpet all around.

If you need a quiet space to work or to write letters, the dedicated office space in the basement is just the place for that.

The laundry room is equipped with a full washing machine and dryer. Complimentary Tide pods are available to get you started on your laundry.

Sip a cup of coffee or simply relax and enjoy the singing of area birds as you sit outdoors on the back porch patio seating.
