  • Volledig prive locatie met uitzicht op het hele jaar door een prachtig uitzicht op de oceaan en zonsondergangen. De 2000 vierkante voet naar huis beschikt over 2 prive-master slaapkamers uitgerust met airconditioning voor uw comfort en een volledig functionele keuken met een aangrenzende grote ruimte te genieten. Het huis is omgeven door weelderige tropische bossen met aandacht grijpen Howler apen, prachtige vogels en vlindersoorten voor u om een ​​volle natuur ervaring te genieten. Er zijn diverse fruitbomen op het terrein voor u om wat vers fruit te genieten in het seizoen.

    De 10-mijl lange afgelegen strand is een 1/4 mijl afstand. Paardrijden, surfen, kajakken, snorkelen en vissen op u wacht. Als je genoeg hebt van het strand, lounge rond de infinity pool en het gevoel dat je nooit de nabijheid van de oceaan over. Our family of five stayed for two nights in April. The views were fantastic and we loved the secluded location on the mountain. As you can expect in the forest, there was a lot of biodiversity--outside and in. The area is even more off the beaten path than expected--which is beautifully calm and peaceful. The whole place felt very authentic.

Wonderful get-away and enjoy nature

We enjoyed our stay. You get away from everything.. One evening, we watched a monkey in the trees next to us, Another morning an iguana visited us and another time we watched a coati. We arrived in a car - I would recommend a 4 wheel drive vehicle. Also, we had no problem with the internet or bugs. The view of sunsets and the ocean from the infinity pool was fantastic

Great Place to Stay

I had a great time with my family. The house and location is amazing a lot of nature and a great view of the beach. The sunset is incredible! The house is equipped and we had no issues at all. The only minor details are: the TV was not functioning and that you need a big car to get to the house. We were going in a Blazer 4x2 and a Nissan Sentra, but we had to leave the small car in San Francisco.

Great View

We had a great time at this house. There was little things that could have made it better like letting us know there is absolute no reception 10 miles before arriving. Make sure your “Waze” is set ready to go way before arriving. Also there were many spiders and roaches but we were able to kill them all and conquer back the house an hour after arriving. Besides that, the house was amazing with a beautiful view.

Best uninterrupted view of the Pacific coast yet.

On the plus side this was exactly the quiet, remote location we hoped for. The infinity pool and patio look directly to the river delta that joins the Pacific without interruption of high rise hotels, jet skis or other distractions. We also enjoyed the small town of San Francisco and explored neighboring towns and beaches. People in the communities were without exception welcoming and patient with our meager Spanish. On the downside there was no wifi that we ever accessed except in town. We also had to use bug spray to bomb the house every night after being eaten alive the first night. All this being said, we would happily return to stay there.

A True Gem That Needs a Little Polishing

Pros: Stunning views. Private. Peaceful. Solid internet. Good communications with owner and property manager. Great pool. Upstairs suite was perfect. The locals were GREAT. Down to earth and helpful.Cons: Should have minimum necessaries for first night such as bars of soap in the bathroom and one roll of paper towels for kitchen. Owner should consider upgrading his fumigation program to mitigate swarming ants and to seal all areas where other unwanted critters enter the house.Observation: It was a 1 hour bumpy ride to the house from the primary route and the house is somewhat remote. This can be good or bad depending on what you are looking for. BUT I would stay there again under the right circumstances because the owner is a man of his word and is very responsive.

Costa Rican Paradise

Beautiful stay. Beautiful Property and Location. Superb! I would say that potential guest should be prepped to know that this is a remote location. It's in a very small town in Costa Rica. There is a nearby convenience store about 15 minutes away and from there "town" is an hour away on a dirt road. We were not prepared for this. The home doesn't have a physical address and is challenging to find and actually drive to because of the steep hill and dirt/muddy terrain. This is a place you'll want to stay around the property. It's not really feasible to drive away and come back. If you are adventurous, outdoorsy, love nature, peace and tranquility you will absolutely love this place. This place offers an opportunity for a most unique experience. Monkeys, birds, beautiful trees are all at your reach. You are actually amongst it all. Awesome swimming pool. Great place. People have to know what they are getting into. With the place being so remote there are animals and insects... Lots! To make this place perfect... Needs New TV, drapes, silverware, plates, pots and pans, linen and bedding. Also lighting. If these things were addressed it would be PERFECT! I really enjoyed the opportunity to stay. It was Amazing!

Stunning views, absolute privacy

We arrived in San Jose De Coyote at 1am due to a flight delay. We were not able to use our U.S. cell phone (Verizon) to call the housekeeper as pre-arranged for the house keys. Luckily a guy standing by the road smoking a cigarette helped us out and his buddies cellphone worked. Vivian's husband arrived 10 minutes later and led us to the house 10 minutes west of town. (5 minutes of that drive is up the mountain on the private drive after you leave the road). The road is somewhat steep and bumpy but very manageable in even a passenger car. Honestly, our first impression of the house when we walked in and saw the kitchen was "uh oh". The kitchen is sparse, as is the case with most of the out-of-country; VRBO properties we have rented. The kitchen was equipped with the basic stuff, although the two non-stick skillets were so worn out that cleaning them was a chore. There were no measuring cups, measuring spoons or even a shot glass for mixing drinks. There were no paper towels, no napkins, no basic condiments of any kind, so be prepared to hit the local grocery for all your basic cooking items. The prices are high for everything, probably double what you will spend at home. There is NO GASOLINE available in town. The two closest sources of gas are the town of Jacaral, 33 km to the east (it's on the way from the Liberia Airport, so stop there on your way to the house and top off. The next closest gas is the town of Cobano, about 38 km south, on some pretty basic gravel roads with several river crossings. (no, not on bridges, you drive through the river) so we recommend a 4 wheel drive. We had a Suzuki Grand Vitarra and it did fine. All the roads in the area are gravel. Drive defensively and avoid the many, many sharp rocks laying in the roads to protect your tires. We carried a rental sat phone (from Mobal) as you are out of cell coverage a lot. The house was clean, and we chose the upstairs master suite. The bed was comfy, and the two basin bathroom modern and well appointed. Note, bring your own hair dryer. The view from the patio is just stunning, and you will experience local wildlife, (howler monkeys, Iguanas, peccary's; Tejons (Mexican word for the White Nose Coti) which is a cousin to the racoon. The pool was clean, and warm. We would not recommend Rios Restaurant at all, but highly recommend Rancho Loma Clara restaurant. Also nearby is Barcos, an awesome beach-front restaurant. We recommend this property and would return.

Nice house on beautifull location, but.....

This is a nice house on a beautiful location with sublime views, but It could be so much more and better if it was just given some more attention and love. Everything is there to make it a perfect house. The outside needs some maintenance (paintwork and loose tiles from the pool). The inside is just poorly decorated with very old furniture and a very old kitchen. Everything was old and looked old and dirty. For instance the washing machine is rusty it makes you wonder what the clothes look like when the washing is finished. All that didnt add to the holiday and relaxation feeling. Another thing is the wifi. We read that the wifi was slow. The owner says that is because it is Costa Rica and wifi here is slower than back home. If that was true than it would be ok. But its not true. Wifi is slow here because the owner didnt invest in a router for his home. Actually this house doesnt have its own wifi, but depends on the wifi of the neighbours and can only be used outside. Everywhere we went in Costa Rica, including other isolated places, wifi was excellent except for here. This is a choice of the owner not a given fact of Costa Rica. Please be honest about that. In total the house was a bit of a disappointment. We decided to leave one day earlier.

This property is paradise on earth

This property is paradise on earth. I actually already had made a review, a very positive and glowing one. I’m not sure why it’s not showing. But here it is again. This property is absolutely stunning. The view of the ocean is wonderful. Sunsets just glorious. The sounds of the wildlife absolutely spell binding. Proximity to the pristine beach is only one and a half kilometres away. Fresh fish at the fish-market every morning at 7 AM. George, Vivian, Daniel and the rest of the Support staff were absolutely fantastic. Friendly, kind and lovely people. We enjoyed our stay immensely. Thank you.

Beautiful location and views.

The home is located on a hill with spectacular views. The front pool area is quite nice and that's where we spent most of our time when at the house. The house has a very nice layout, with large bathrooms and separate sink areas from shower and toilet. The furnishings are quite sparse and appear to be old, so it didn't have a cozy feel. The kitchen needs updating. Overall, it was a nice experience.

Great wildlife!

We loved the pool and view and watching all the creatures including the coaties and resident iguanas and all the birds and insects. The house was clean and George was very responsive. The only odd thing was the complete lack of any condiments or any stuff from previous guests. I️ have stayed in many vrbo homes and there always seems to be salt and spices and oil and such things that accumulate from previous guests. It seems like those things are cleaned out each time. Also we had to buy trash bags and toilet paper and paper towels. Not really complaining just a heads up to future renters you will need to stock up. We had a great time. Thank you!

Away from it ALL

Really enjoyed this place and hope to return. The view really is fantastic and the sunsets superb. Plenty of birds to watch and the howler monkeys wake you up each morning. We wanted rural and that's exactly what we got. Loved the fished shape swimming pool. It's really a work of art and adds a nice touch. The beaches are super quiet here and often times we were the only ones there. Important things to note: The advice about 4-wheel drive is legit. I'm comfortable off-roading and driving in the back country so a lot of times I take these recommendations with a grain of salt. Well, I was able to make it up in 2-wheel drive just for the fun of it but it took some work. It was quite dry when we there but even then the ruts were enough to scrape bottom on our little rental in a couple places. A higher clearance vehicle can come in handy. The internet was adequate for our purposes (checking mail, making on-line reservations, etc.) but if you're hoping to work from home you will be disappointed. Speed test clocked in at 0.45 Mbps. Yes, that's less than 1! Cell service is poor too. We had Kolbi and most of the time it was no service. Bottom of the drive will get you 3G. Go into town and there is nice solid 4G. But we didn't come for the internet. A 5-star would be fancy new dishes and all the little things you might need like hand soap and garbage bags. I'll give 4 because it is very clean, safe, amenities are adequate and the host is quick to reply and very helpful in many areas.

Way too isolated and far from everything. Also, the furnishings are very Spartan and limited. Pool and view were great but the beach was a disappointment.

prison with great view

No privacy, security cameras on everytime. We found out afterwards. The only thing that is great is the ocean view. Then there are other things that need to be repaired or replaced: - glasses & plates - TV, not working - Wifi, was really, really slow - pots & pans (really old) - coffee machine / microwave - beds ( dirty and skin was itching) - furniture & sofa - chairs for outside you have to bring everything on your own: soap, paper towels, napkins, dish cloth, dish soap and spices ( you don´t even have salt &pepper) and everything you need for a good and comfy atmosphere. The road up to the house is only clay soil and mud. It is really not worth calling it a road. When it rains you can´t go to your house. 4x4 recommended !!!! The equipment features are not true. For example not handycapped accesible, because the ways in the house are too small for a wheel chair. The owner knows everything, because some people also wrote it in their reviews. But he blames yourself for it becuase you didn´t ask. We left the house 2 days earlier and the owner says that you should blame yourself for it. Only for people who want to see nobody else.

Great stay

Everything was as I expected.Comfortable beds ,good pool,sufficient kitchen gadjets.The refrigerator could have been bigger but we bought ice everyday anyway.Although we never had any problems with th road coming up the hill,you had to pay attention and keep your speed up.It rained on the afternoon 2 days in a row but we were already in the house.If it was really rainy you would need a 4x4.I took my big electric grill and that worked great for cooking for 5 adults and a 3 year old and I would go again.Beaches were good and the store down the road a little way was good.The restaurant Loma Palo was good also.
