Welkom in de Shanty Creek Treehouse!

The Treehouse ligt in het prachtige resortgebied Shanty Creek / Schuss Mountain en is perfect gelegen om te profiteren van de vier seizoenen van de pracht van Noord-Michigan!  The Treehouse ligt in het hardhouten bos en op slechts enkele minuten van skiën, zwembaden, golfen, meren en uitstekende restaurants.  Dit Oostenrijks geïnspireerde chalet is zojuist volledig gerenoveerd met 3 comfortabele slaapkamers, een aangepaste recreatieruimte en een wrap-around dek.  Met een open, luchtige lay-out en een boomhut uitzicht op het bos, het is de perfecte plek om uit te spreiden en te ontspannen met familie en vrienden.  Je zit precies in het midden van alle voorzieningen en plezier die je verwacht in het prachtige Shanty Creek gebied!

In de mildere maanden is hier genoeg te doen. Rij met de kinderen een paar minuten naar het Lakeview hotel om te zwemmen in het buitenzwembad op de top van de ski-heuvel (met een prachtig uitzicht op het meer van Bellaire, een paar kilometer verderop!)  Zet in een paar gaten in de meest pittoreske golfbanen in de staat.  Maak een ritje van 15 minuten naar het prachtige Torch-meer.  Wandel, fiets en speel op enkele van de mooiste en goed onderhouden paden van Michigan.  Of misschien zit u gewoon op het terras met uw ochtendkoffie; hoog in de bomen hoor je alleen het fluisterend hardhout en af en toe een mees. 

Voor de koudere maanden biedt de gezinsvriendelijke Schuss-berg (of het "koninkrijk van Schuss" zoals wij het noemen) het allerbeste skiën en snowboarden in de buurt.  Trails voor langlaufen en sneeuwschoenwandelen zijn binnen enkele minuten van de Treehouse, net als routes voor het rijden met je Fat Mountain Bikes. We hebben toegang tot het lidmaatschap van twee overdekte zwembaden en hot tubs in Schuss en Summit-dorpen, ook op slechts een paar minuten rijden.  Wanneer de dag voorbij is, krul je voor de open haard op met een goed boek en goed gezelschap, met gratis brandhout. 

The Treehouse is geschikt voor 8 personen en biedt een complete keuken, twee badkamers, grote, comfortabele slaapkamers en een ruime recreatiezaal met een pooltafel.  WiFi, kabel-tv en eigen wasfaciliteiten zijn ook inbegrepen.

Het Bellaire-gebied biedt toegang tot honderden attracties. Shanty Creek heeft vier kampioenschapsgolfbanen: Cedar River (Weiskopf), The Legend (Palmer), Schuss Mountain Course en Summit Course. Bovendien zijn andere uitstekende cursussen gunstig in de buurt. Maak een korte trip naar Lake Bellaire, het Torch Lake of Grand Traverse Bay aan Lake Michigan om te zwemmen of varen, of geniet van een mooie, ontspannende kanotocht over de rivier de Jordaan.

This property is perfect for a family with teens or young adults. With a family room, pool table, and 2 bedrooms on one floor for the kids. Then another family room, dining room, kitchen, and one bedroom. Very close to the ski hill with a nice pool and hot tub.

Cozy Cabin in the Trees

I recently stayed at the Shanty Creek Treehouse in Michigan, and it was the perfect getaway for our group of nine. From the moment we arrived, the cabin felt like a true home away from home. It was the ideal spot to unwind after a day of exploring the area or playing in the snow. The warmth and ambiance it provided made the evenings feel extra special. We also loved the pool table in the game room — a great addition for some friendly competition and laughter. The space was big enough for all of us to enjoy without feeling cramped.The cabin comfortably accommodated nine people, with plenty of room for everyone to have their own space. The bedrooms were cozy and well-appointed, and we woke up to beautiful views of the surrounding forest.Schuss Mountain itself was peaceful and serene, offering a sense of seclusion, but still close enough to local attractions for easy day trips. Whether we were lounging by the fire, playing pool, or simply enjoying the quiet outdoors, every moment felt relaxing and rejuvenating.If you're looking for a cabin that combines comfort, warmth, and fun, this is the place. It's the ideal retreat for families or groups looking to escape and recharge in a stunning Michigan setting. Highly recommend!One word of caution the area is very hilly if there is snow you will need 4 wheel drive.

Anniversary Weekend

Overall, it was a fantastic trip. I thoroughly enjoyed the property and would definitely stay again. The mid-century modern design, and the actual fireplace in the living room is a unique feature. The living area is spacious, and the bedrooms are well-proportioned. However, I have a few suggestions for future renters. Firstly, it would be great to include a variety of pillows in the bedrooms to cater to different sleeping preferences. The current pillows are primarily designed for back sleepers and are quite flat and hard for side sleepers. Secondly, it would be helpful to provide shampoo, conditioner, and body wash dispensers in the showers, as none are currently available.

Amazing property!

The Treehouse is a fantastic space to gather! We were there for nearly a week and loved the location, the space itself, the patio and fire pit, and the pool table. Easy check-in and check-out and great communication from the hosts made this one a winner and we will definitely be back! The only this that could make this spot better is a drying rack and pad for dishes with some more kitchen linens! 10/10 would recommend!!

The Treehouse was a great place to stay for 2 couples and our sons. We love the Bellaire area and the house was in a very quiet setting. The house is well kept, everything worked. We enjoyed a few games of billiards and a chilly evening on the deck with a nice fire.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights in April. It was lovely - we loved the house/atmosphere. I am a clean freak and it was clean enough - not perfect, but clean enough that I was very comfortable. 😊 The decor and design of the place was great - cozy, restful, quiet. Great Set Up for Big Families

We had a great time staying at the tree house. We have 7 kids. The room with the bunkbeds has an extra trundle bed, so 5 of them could fit comfortably in one room. We had all of our meals at the cabin. The kitchen is set up well for cooking. Everyone enjoyed the tv /game room with the pool table. Finally, thanks to our host Joe for going the extra mile to make sure we could swim at the Lakeview hotel. He was very responsive whenever I texted a question. One tip - bring extra towels to swim. Lakeview hotel (which you have access to through the condo association) no longer provides towels at the pool itself. Thanks again!!!

Peaceful stay at the Tree House

The Tree house was exactly as described. It was extremely clean and felt so cozy and comfortable. We really enjoyed that the kitchen was open to the dining/living room. The view from the huge windows overlooking the deck was beautiful and peaceful. You truly felt you were up in the trees! The communication with our hosts before arriving was very clear and helpful. We didn’t need to reach out during our stay because everything was wonderful! We’d love to return perhaps in the fall when the leaves are all changing colors. 😊 Thanks for a great stay!

Ski Weekend at Schuss

Beautiful ski cabin in the woods, right on the shanty creek property. Large enough for a big family, but cozy enough for a small group. Open floor plan with retro fireplace. Game room in lower level with pool table and old-school Atari!! Five minute drive to Schuss, Summit and Short's Brewery. We will be back next year.

Love this place

This was the second time we stayed in this house. Only issue was a problem with the mini-split heaters but backup baseboard heaters did the job. Will stay there again.

The property and amenities were ok...

The house itself was decent and clean but was very poorly lit. Being there in the dark fall/winter months, any time I entered a room I tried to turn on more lights but there weren't any more to turn on. (Several of the lights would strobe so you'd have to keep them off). When I asked the owner about it, he said it was an old house and that is just the way it is. Since we were there around Thanksgiving. All of the activities at the resort were shut down, including one of the indoor pools. That was a bummer and I wish date ranges for activities would have been in the description for the property. Probably would not stay here again.

Incredible experience staying at your gorgeous chalet! We visited in the fall and felt like we were truly living amongst the trees! The place was immaculately clean and had all needed amenities!
