I wish I can give a zero star to this place. The moment you walk in all you will smell is cat piss. Walk down the hallway and you see a tear down wallpapers give you feel of being in a horror movie. If you ignore all that like me a new surprise will be waiting for you in the room. We found many dead and alive roaches in our room . Don’t waste your time and energy coming here.

Please be advised that we are disheartened by your perception of your stay with us. I feel that I must address your comment about roaches both dead and alive in your room first. I can discount your malicious comment to such being fact as I can wholeheartedly assure you as well as any reader of this comment that it is fiction. The Clarion Inn does not have live or dead roaches in rooms. The rooms are constantly cleaned and readied for our next guest. We also have routine inspections and treatments by our contracted exterminators to prevent such a thing from happening. Lastly, I cannot understand why you would not promptly report such a thing to the front desk let alone choose to sleep in such an environment, which in itself proves to be a malicious fabrication against this business. The peeling wallpaper is not as extensive as you report; however, the Clarion Inn is under new ownership and management and extensive renovations are planned with the most urgent projects being completed first. Lastly, the smell you have objected too is being aggressively addressed. All that being said we truly are saddened that you did not enjoy your brief stay with us. Clarion Inn Management

The rooms smelled musty. TV wasn't clear on how to work it. The outside could be cleaner. Other than that the stuff was very friendly. They could put together book of restaurant's and shopping for there guests why are in town.

COCKROACHES! Upon arriving to the hotel the front desk staff were very friendly. As we entered the hallway to the room it smelled like a mix of urine and mold. Entering into the room, a part of the ceiling looked like it had water damages as patches were falling off. The beds and pillows were comfy. The shower water was hot, which was nice. However, the shower did not drain and you had to stand in a lot of water. We found one cockroach in the bathroom. Then, my brother-in-law found another big cockroach climbing across his hat he sat down on the dresser. We kept all our luggage in the car so we didnt bring any cockroaches home with us. There were piles of trash in the hall ways and over flowing outside. It seems like the hotel might have had some water damage that was never fixed properly, hence the urine/mold smell, water damage on the ceiling, shower drain not draining and the cockroach problem. We would definitely not stay here again.

The microwave and iron in my room did not work, The tub was filthy. The common areas and exits were dirty and/or trashy. Residents gathered at the exit door to smoke and drink. The breakfast was just sad. I usually don't write reviews, but people need to know to stay away from this place.

I am sorry that you have such an unfavorable opinion of the hotel. If something is not working to your satisfaction it would be welcomed to let the staff know so we can address the items in an effort to improve your stay with us. Also, our hotel is a non-smoking facility. In an effort to encourage smoking out of the rooms and the building it is necessary to have smoking in convenient locations to accommodate our other guests. I noted that you did not mention them impeding your entering or exiting; however, if this was the case the front desk should have been notified. Lastly, the term "sad" to describe or breakfast items is puzzling as we make an effort to provide a variety of items. For example, during your stay there were 2 types of juices in addition to coffee and various teas. Food items included: Jimmy Dean Sausage Breakfast sandwiches; 3 types of oatmeal; oatmeal fruit cereal bars; 2 slices artisan bread individually wrapped for toasting; English muffins, 2 types of bagels; 4 types of individually wrapped Danish; bakery Danish, and 4 types of bakery muffins. Butter; peanut butter, cream cheese, and 3 types of jelly were also readily stocked and available for all guests. The Clairon Inn Management and Staff have duly noted your comments and concerns.

Filthy, terrible smell, water damage everywhere you look. The furniture in the lobby & rooms is all stained w/oil from years of people’s hair & bodies using them. But the staff members that I met were all the nicest people you could hope to find. Very helpful & accommodating & did all they could to ensure that Expedia refunded the remaining 4 nights I stayed in the area. I had to move to a different hotel. This one also does not feel very safe for a single female traveler. It’s RIGHT off the highway & lots of truckers etc.

Water damage is acknowledged and being addressed as new roof was installed as soon as the weather permitted. As a result renovations are now underway to address the issues that you noted. The Clarion Management and Staff are concerned that you did not feel safe being a single traveler. We are conveniently located for travelers and are happy to report that we have had no safety issues with travelers whether it be single or multiple guests. The Clarion Management and Staff do take the safety and comfort of all guests seriously. Perhaps you will be comfortable enough to consider staying with us into the future.

The room was very nicely put together and clean, the pool was nice and clean, but the hallway and lobby area smelled like dog urine. I have a sensitivity to smell and it just made it hard to get to my room. The breakfast wasnt as fresh as id hoped for 7:30 am, but the coffee hit the spot. I really enjoyed the shower and how spacious it was. Very mannerly guests, nice and quiet.

Smelled like cat litter box. Rooms smelled really bad. They advertised having a restaurant and lounge but both were shut down. They rented me a room that had a broken bathroom sink that leaked all over the place. The carpet was wet. Overall, really bad.

We have been staying here for many trips up until our last one. We could see, over time, that this hotel has been going downhill. It is true, you get what you pay for. With so many choices in the area, I will spend the extra 20 or 30 for a cleaner facility.

The staff was so friendly. My daughter slept on the couch and they brought up 2 blankets for her at 10:00 at night. Check-out with Becky was actually gun. She is such a nice person and we really enjoyed chatting with her. She is a great asset to the business as she makes you feel like a friend and not just a customer. Yes Becky do the ginger look!! 😃

Extremely disappointed with the condition of the Hotel. It advertised that there was a restaurant, it hadn't been opened in years. Ice machines were broke. Walked to second floor and floors were sticky and gooey. The shower was moldy, the room smelled, volume on TV was so faint you couldn't hear it. We stayed here but we cancelled, without refund, our return trip. I'm working on trying to get a refund for the return booking. We made reservations under the assumption that this was a clean facility with the amenities that were advertised.

Sadly falling down. On checkin it took them three attempts (meaning hand us key card three times) to find a room that actually had sheets on the bed. As you walk down the hallways you'll see a lot of wallpaper peeling off, things taped together (like fallen signs or out of order. Advertised breakfast was not out. On the positive side it was quite and the mattresses were in better shape than average.

Pleasant room in a truck stop area. Very nice.
Brad was a great greeter at check in. Arrived 9pm and room was perfect. Clean. No bad odors. Comfortable. Nicely tiled shower. Lots of good things I didn’t expect from a truck stop type of location.

Room was fine, but weird vibe at the hotel
So, first the good things - the second room they gave me was very nice with an updated bathroom. The people working at the hotel are very nice, if slightly overwhelmed. I didn't use the pool, but it looked nice and other guests were enjoying it. Now for the weird stuff - the exterior has maintenance issues. Wallpaper coming off the walls of the first floor hallway. But more off-putting were the cars with flat tires in the parking lot, the people sitting on either side of an entry smoking, and the signs - everywhere - informing everyone that use of illegal substances was cause for expulsion from the hotel. I felt like part of the hotel was being used for longer term housing?? Anyway, if you're just there for a quick night's sleep, it might be OK, but if you're in the area for any longer, I would find an alternative.

They did not clean our room for 3 days and did not provide clean towels. We had to go to the lobby to get clean towels. Our bed was not changed either. When visiting Belle Vernon I will not be staying there anymore and will not recommend this place to anyone.
