Prachtig huisje met 1 slaapkamer op slechts 4 minuten lopen over de brug van Newport Ave naar tal van activiteiten en bedrijven in het centrum van Bend. The Cottage bevindt zich ook op loopafstand van de opkomende foodie- en brouwbarscène op de avenues van Newport en Galveston.

Suberb location, immaculate and cozy

We didn’t want to leave this sweet, comfortable, clean cottage! It was marvelous to leave the car at home and walk to the river front and so many delightful eateries. Don was a wonderful host who anticipated all our needs. The garden was divine with a stunning paper bark birch tree and a family of 4 deer outside the kitchen table window. This cottage was very well planned (outlets just where you need them) and well equipped (nice kitchenware!). We hope to return soon.

Looking forward to our next visit

The cottage had everything we needed for our visit to downtown Bend area. We were in a very short walking distance to the wonderful river path and the old downtown Bend area - both of which we wanted to visit. The cottage had everything we needed for our stay; comfortable bed, stocked kitchen, beautiful patio area for relaxing, perfectly clean and stocked with kitchen and bath supplies. Don is a great host - attentive without being intrusive. Bonus for us, the electric charging for our car worked smoothly and conveniently for our stay. We wish we could have stayed longer and plan to return, as Bend area has so much more to explore than we had time to visit and the cottage is ideal for relaxation time as well.

Weekend in the Cottage

We had a wonderful time staying in the beautiful cottage near downtown Bend. The location is fantastic and we were able to walk to everything. The gardens are lovely and we absolutely enjoyed sitting on the back patio watching deer and hummingbirds. The cottage is elegant and comfortable with everything we needed for a fantastic weekend. The cottage was so well thought out. It's neat and clean and stocked with everything you would need. It was the perfect home base for us while we spent the week in Bend. Absolutely lovely

We had a lovely stay at the cottage. The location is perfect with a short walk to the river and Old Bend. The cottage was clean, comfortable and we loved the way it was furnished. The patio is absolutely delightful. They have thought of everything. We had contemplated staying at a hotel for our brief stay but so glad we didn't. This was so much better. Highly recommend.

Brief stay in Bend

My husband and I were planning a trip to Portland for a wedding and wanted to spend a few days in Bend before the wedding. Don and Marlines cottage was perfect. They have thought of everything and provided a lovely place for a stopover or lengthier stay that left us wanting to stay longer. The cottage is perfectly located to take advantage of everything Bend has to offer. It is within a short Walking distance to the river, breweries and amazing restaurants. Although we didn’t spend a lot of time in the cottage what we did spend there was extremely comfortable. They have created a beautiful cottage in a lovely garden with a private patio for the guest cottage and gave great advice for restaurants and area trips. Highly recommended!!

This cottage was very well equipped very comfortable. The outdoor space was spectacular it even included deer quill, and all kinds of outdoor animals. You could come to this cottage and just sit in the backyard and enjoy the whole trip. It was convenient to downtown and it was easy to access.

Perfect for us

We were very comfortable in the cottage. Immaculate throughout. Nice bed, good shower and full kitchen. Private entrance and parking. (Follow his directions for the easiest way to get there.) The location is what sold us. Quiet neighborhood and easy walk to Mirror Pond and all the restaurants and shops. Recommend Jinsei spa just one block away. The beautiful yard, outdoor seating area and friendly hosts made it a truly relaxing vacation.

What a delightful place to stay in Bend. The Cottage is very well located, 5 minute walk to downtown and the Deschutes River Trail. The hosts keep it immaculate and it is the best equipped VRBO we've ever stayed in. Hosts are very nice and the grounds that the Cottage share with the host's home is beautiful. Deer come into the yard most days. Wonderful.

Superb accommodations in Bend

The perfect home base for our explorations in Bend and the surrounding areas. Don was an excellent and welcoming host, providing plenty of suggestions and local knowledge on places to explore, including our favorite - waterfalls. The cottage is clean, cozy and warm with everything needed to make for a comfortable stay. Outside spaces are serene and inviting - both in 70-degree warm weather and in the snow, as we found out on our spring break trip! The convenience of being walking-distance to everything in old Bend can't be overstated. We also greatly appreciated having the EV charger - waking up to a full battery every morning, ready to go. We can't wait to come back!

Great location, Great owner

The experience started several months before the stay. The owner contacted me and offered customized advice for our trip. He was always helpful and responsive before and during the stay. When we mentioned a loose brick on the patio, he was out the same day rebuilding it. The accommodations are clean and well designed. Space is limited, but comfortable for two people with separate living room and bedroom. Air conditioning was sufficient for the heat wave during our stay and the outdoor patio was nice in the evenings. Location was excellent, with Old Bend a five minute walk across the river.

The property was so clean, and Don was very communicative. Felt like it combined the best of being on a retreat with being at home! Highly recommend!

Perfect Bend cottage

This cottage is perfect: lovely design and decor, immaculate, extremely well-stocked kitchen, beautiful patio surrounded by lush gardens, EV charger (yay!!), very quiet, but only 2 blocks from all the best spots in old downtown. If that isn’t enough, Don and Marline are charming and attentive hosts. We hope to visit again in the future.

Absolutely Perfect

If you looked up the definition of perfect in the dictionary it would say “2nd Street Cottage, Bend Oregon”. This property was absolutely perfect for my wife and I. Very well appointed interior decorating that was comfortable and warm, combined with exceptional exterior yard landscaping. Don our host was very accommodating providing great tips on restaurants (many that were in walking distance to downtown), and local side trips to explore. We will definitely be returning for another stay.

Lovely cottage in great Bend location

My husband and I spent five days at the cottage. We came to visit our son who lives nearby, but we also needed to work some of the days. The WiFi was great - neither of us had any trouble with Zoom meetings, even while sitting outside on the beautiful patio. Don was a very helpful host and we loved staying there. It's a beautiful and very comfortable place. Hope to be back soon!
