This property is super cute and exactly as described. It's well-appointed and comfortable. We loved walking to downtown Bend - everything is so close! We had an issue with check-in (key code we were sent didn't work), but the property manager responded immediately to get us set up. Appreciated quick communication. Everything within the owner's control is great. Free coffee was a nice touch!
As others have mentioned, there is a serious houseless population challenge at this location we didn't really appreciate until we showed up. The house is on a corner, and for each of the four nights we were there, we saw 8-12 different homeless folks either in parked cars or in tents on both streets surrounding the house. We saw lots of overt drinking and drug use, and we could hear shouting at all hours. It made us feel a bit nervous about our cars in the driveway, but we had no issues. We've stayed in downtown Bend in a number of different VRBOs within a mile of this location, and this is the only place we've ever seen this issue so prevalently, maybe because of the park nearby? I feel bad for the owner of the property given this is not in their control, but if you have small children or feel uncomfortable with visible homelessness, this is not the right VRBO for you.
