'We loved the Union. It wasn't our first time there and it never disappoints. We had the largest room on the 3rd floor with a 180 degree view and amazing original furniture from the early 1900s. The only small complaint is that the king sized bed could use a new mattress. We didn't sleep well because it was pretty bad, but don't let this discourage you from staying there. Maybe they will read this and put a new mattress on the bed. :)'

'The property up front and on one side seamed to be kept up. On the back side if the property it was a dump. Trash pilled high by a outbuilding. Also, trash pilled up in the corners of the walkways. It looks as if the hotel has no trash service. The elevator smelled of dog pee. The room smelled of air freshener covering up marijuana smoke. The reviews are the same for almost a year or more now. Tried to talk with the staff but after waiting for almost a half hours no one came to the front desk. A...

'The room did have a Musty smell, not saying it wasn't clean but the odor was like the room had been not aired out in a while. or they need to shampoo the carpet. Bathroom was clean and kitchen area was clean. but for 150.00 a night I did expect a little better, than musty smelling room but over all I give it a 3.5 stars out of 5.'

'I had reserved 2 rooms at this inn, which turned out to be a very run-down motel that had several people living there permanently. The photos that I saw on the hotels.com website were fine. It had a rating of 8, with only one review. The reality of the two rooms we stayed in was nowhere near the photos. We had family staying with us from our of the country, and I was notified that we had rooms in such terrible condition. Our room had dirty floors, a broken lamp, burned-out lightbulbs, chairs...

'I checked in and was given a room that was infested with roaches. I was given a different room that still had roaches and when i asked the older lady at the office if they had roach spray she seemed annoyed, she looked but couldnt find any. I ended up spending an extra $20 on bug spray and duct tape for their room. The rooms weren't the cleanest either. There was a open outlet behind the bed which was just a hole in the wall (thats what the duct tape was for). Waking up to roaches on the pillows...
