'First off...Mitch was an absolute top notch host! Very accommodating and a wealth of knowledge for us 1st time travelers to Siargao! The grounds were beautiful, well kept and relaxing finishes! There was a little construction going on next door but it didn't bother is much. The location is about 5 minutes tuk tuk ride to General Luna city center where you'll find LOTS of shops, restaurants, bars, wellness centers etc! Book your stay with Mitch at Casa Basa, enjoy Siargao by day and a relaxing...

'Absolutely beautiful location. The view ia amazing. Staff could not have been better. Food was good and reasonably priced (escpecially considering how remote). The boat ride there and back was a bit expensive (private boat is all that is available). The cottages are nice and clean but could use some maintenance.'

'The stay was wonderful. The location is near all the restaraunts in General Luna. The restaraunt probably has one of the best pizzas I have ever had, especially since Inhad pizza in Napoli before. The service was top notch and all the staff made me feel welcome. I recommend anyone visiting Siargao for the first time to try the Henry out.'

'Staying in the watergate hotel in Butuan city was a disappointing experience. At the crowded front desk they announced they had to charge 1000 pesos for a blood spot in one towel. My wife felt already bad she left a blood spot on her towel due to her menstrual cycle. But felt worse after receiving a penalty for it. We are decent people and regular travelers but never experienced this humiliation at the crowded front desk. '

'Beautiful gardens. Friendly staff . Villa was designed with good taste - nice bed/ large bathroom . Bamboo flooring. Resort was quiet and we were able to sleep well at night. '

'What an Aamzing hotel ! 1) The owner shares the same faith as I do which is a huge thing for me . 2) the staff are so friendly and helpful . I left my keys 3x on the door handle and my room was never opened . If you get there , talk with the owner and learn the history of the hotel . You’ll truly know the meaning of perseverance , hardwork and dedication . Glad I stayed at this hotel. '

'This accommodation was away from the chaos of General Luna. But not too far away if you wanted to venture in for food and drinks. For clarity, property has a gated private entrance and there is a front desk to check in, but the ad doesn't say so. Our room was spacious, clean and very cool as it had ac and a roof fan. There is also a private pool. During the evening the walk ways to the villas are well lit with a security guard on site. '
