'Enjoyed the delicious food, the room, the friendly staff and the excursions (batik workshop and visit to Elmina Castle). The pool, restaurant and rooms are in close proximity. Plenty of space in the restaurant with a nice view of the ocean. We’re vegetarian; had plenty to eat - delicious selections plus the best tasting pineapples and red red. The beach is a short walk. Very relaxing place to visit. '

'Justice, Peter, Precious and Lawrence are outstanding and go way out of their way to make sure you are comfortable. The income from this resort goes to support the local orphanage and the resort has donated water storage systems to many of the local villages. The team is reopening the property after it having been closed for some time and dealing with the challenges as they present. Any time there was an issue it was resolved promptly and to our satisfaction. My friend and I were traveling...

'I have been staying at Coconut Grove Beach Resort Elmina since 1995, when it was brand new. Since then few major changes or renovations have been made. This makes that the hotel is a little bit tired now. However, small upgrades in the last year or so keep accommodation / rooms at an acceptable level and the price level is ok for a beach resort. The location and surroundings of the hotel make up for any defects! Great location on the beach, nice terrace and swimming pool, with open air...

'Totally overpriced. Waited 1,5 hours for lunch and was served overcooked, burnt, overpriced, and bland pasta. Dinner took two hours for the first persons dish to arrive, and three hours for the last group member to get the food. Loud place. Understaffed and obviously not well managed. Rooms are okay, but really not worth that much money. Matrass has this plastic cover that makes you sweat. Basic furniture, shabby lock that took us once ten minutes to open. Almg the beach tehy built this wall...

'Slight trouble with check in. Agent wasn't aware of paid room by using app. Was made to wait for manager to verify reservation. After giving my room to another guest, I was able to get to it the next day. Tub and water wasn't working, need height to control ac-- no remote, TV started to work as I was leaving. '
