'Room smelt like sewage and continued to get worse with time. (Stayed two nights) We alerted the front desk multiple times. They offered air freshener spray. They stated there ‘is nothing they can do for us unless we’d like to share a room with another guest’. This was more than disgusting and the rude staff did nothing to investigate the situation or offer another room. Pool under maintenance/not usable. Booked this stay over others to have this amenity. Will not stay again.'

'We booked this hotel through Expedia 3 weeks in advance for wedding for 2 nights. 5 minutes before our check in time, the hotel cancelled and refunded our reservation. When I called they stated that they couldn't agree on a price with Expedia and the hotel so the just cancelled the room and wanted more money for the 2 night stay. 'The view of the Allegany River is breathtaking and the rooms are spacious and clean. The decor makes it feel like home rather than a hotel room. The "take and go" breakfast has a very limited selection. However, the room and the other amenities by far outweigh the limited breakfast. We will definitely stay here again!'

'This historic cottage on the oldest golf course in the United States was a gem of a find. The inside was beautifully decorated but with a modern update including the kitchen with all the conveniences. Everything we needed was there. We loved sitting on the porch in the lovely wooden rockers and watching the hummingbirds at the feeders and other birds and wildlife as well as golfers on the course. The host was very responsive to messages. We would highly recommend a stay at Tarry Moore...

'I was looking to get away by myself and this was the perfect location to do that. It snowed which made it that much more beautiful. The house was very clean and comfy. I vegged for 3 days, watched TV and pretty much decompressed. The bed was amazingly comfortable, and I am always looking for a good night sleep.
