'The Gadsden Hotel in Douglas is certainly one of the nicest places I have ever stayed in. Founded in 1907, it has room numbers hand-carved into its doors, a spacious lobby with polished stone pillars and stairs, a stunning stained large glass window with a landscape theme inspired by the Sonoran desert, misters that subtlely pump sweet spice scents into the air, and spacious rooms and public areas. If you are ever staying overnight in this border town, I definitely recommend a stay at this gem...

'We loved the claw foot bath tub and caretaker and his dog were both very friendly. He greeted us warmly as we arrived and was super sweet about us being late checking in.
