'Not sure why the average rating is so low but this place sure deserves a better overall rating. Anyways, check-in staff were lethargic with zero smiles or welcoming nature (someone needs to remind them that they work in hospitality). This is an old-school type homely resort with so much to offer. Great location. Great activities. Amazing heated pools - especially at this time of year! Excellent for families - would most definitely return. '

'We really loved our stay at Ledges Retreat, the surroundings are so beautiful and peaceful. Royal Natal is really closeby to go for a hike. The room was nicely decorated and modern with a big bathroom. Everyone was really friendly and the dogs were a bonus ;-) Definitely one of our favourite places during our 3 week trip!'

'Wonderful little spot! The lady at reception was so friendly and the unit was clean, cosy and comfortable. We met a lovely kid you the name of Fanfan, who sometimes sells clay African animals across the road from windmill farm. What a lovely young man- go meet him if he is around. '
