'My 27 year old son and I came to visit Donegal, the ancestral home of his father’s family. We spent 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed Buncrana. We drove up to Malin Head through stunning scenery and visited sites in and around Buncrana. Julie was a kind and accommodating host. The property was well appointed with comfortable beds and a full kitchen on the outskirts of Buncrana. 'Our hosts Elspeth and Drew Vaughan were amazing. Very welcoming and informative. Some of the most pleasant and adorable hosts I’ve ever had. The area and hut were very clean and comfortable. They provided history and information about the area. Just wonderful. If I’m ever able to return to Ireland, I would definitely choose to stay here. '

'This house was a great base for our family trip to Donegal. The large travel cot & high chair came in very handy. It was cosy and comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked with utensils etc. and there was plenty of room for us all to eat and sit together. The location was excellent, just a short walk to Killahoey beach or into Dunfanaghy. We all agreed it was a winner. Only complaint was it seemed like a few small repairs are needed - one of the windows and one of the showers.'

'We had a very pleasant stay. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The house is well equiped with everything you need although I missed a dryer (drying outside is possible but was not an option because of the rain chances). A clothing rack to dry wash inside would be useful. The only disadvantage of the house is that there is no wifi, but we could borrow the mobile internet device of the hosts during our stay.'
