'We truly enjoyed the seclusion and being where we could enjoy seeing the birds, deer, skunks and even a rat snake. The sound of the whip'o'wills in the evening was so calming. Our teenage granddaughter enjoyed the soaking tub immensely. Seeing the baby birds come out of their shells in the their nest above the front porch was a great treat ad well. The only suggestion that I would make would be a larger crock pot and a few more latge pots. We cooked in the evening and there were 5 of us.'

'The house is very cute little place for a stay on the lake. The bedroom with 2 beds had several dead bugs along the wall, maybe just need cleaned a little better. Overall house was very cute. There are, I believe, 62 steps down to the dock, where the kids lived jumping off and enjoying the water. Thank you for having us. Loved the painting on the dining room wall. Best view around. '

'If you want to experience a wonderful example of our Lord's creation this cabin is perfect! Cabin is on a very private road. No one is on top of you. We celebrated the 4th of July with the fireworks show in Fort Payne that is only 20 minutes away. We also enjoyed antique shopping in Mentone and Fort Payne. 'The cabin was gorgeous, and don’t even get me started on the view!! Loved the deck with the hot tub and grill. Inside was very cozy. Great stay.'

'The cabin was very well stocked of anything anyone could possibly need. The beds were very comfortable. The area was very quiet and the wildlife was fun to watch. My only complaint was the internet was horribly slow. I definitely would stay there again.'

'This is the second time my family has stayed at one of these beautiful cabins(we stayed at Valkyrie last visit). Such a relaxing trip to take with my husband & our two teens. We swam everyday in one of the most refreshing rivers on the property. Every evening soaked in the hot tub while listening to most unique bird, Chuck Will's Widow. Ate at the Wildflower Cafe, delish! Hiked down to Desoto Falls & swam a bit. I promise you will not regret booking at any of his properties. We will be...

'We visited this property last year for a rare kid-free getaway and decided to make it an annual trip. It was just as great as I remembered! The location is incredibly private and quiet. 'The house and property are as advertised. Clean and well-appointed with everything you need. There's a nice little private pond- we caught a few bass and bream while we were there. The property manager, Brandi, was very responsive and nice to communicate with. Little River Canyon Center is 4 minutes away, for some great trails and fairly easy hiking. I have no complaints, except the add-ons in cost that are not easy to see when you make the reservation. The bottom line is that it was a nice...
