FYI, the hotel is some distance from the main town and ATMs - perhaps 30 minute walk. But the main boat tour operators to Bazaruto will pick you up on the beach in front of the hotel.'

'Upon arrival at Vilankulos airport, you are greeted/ received by the proprietor, Evelyn (you’ll meet her hubby, Fabio, later) and enjoy a 30 minute drive to their lodge. Immediately greeted by mgr, Reaz, upon arrival Lodge who’ll walk you to main reception where you’re greeted by Chelsea (the other mgr) waiting for you with refreshments & cold herbal infused towels to refresh with. 'The Villa is beautiful, Santo was wonderful and very respectful. The ocean is absolutely gorgeous, especially at low tide. We loved seeing all the local people working together. Unfortunately, the locals do not know how to leave the tourists alone, it’s especially overwhelming when you are trying to go to the beach behind the villa with your family. We highly recommend you chartering a boat from Mothassane, they made our trip to Vilanculos. '

'This is a really lovely hotel. Felt super safe with nice food and beautiful rooms. Staff are very helpful and lovely. The only thing I would say is that I couldn’t go straight onto the beach from my room which is a short walk to the access point but I could nevertheless see it from my balcony. There are some building works in the area which didn’t affect me. I really appreciated the airport pick up and drop off too. I would come again. '

'We loved the space inside the house. We were four people in total, and it was very comfortable for our two adult children and us to hang out in the living room, breakfast bar, or outside on the patio. The pool was just a few steps from the patio, very clean and comfortable, and very welcome in the hot days in January! There are a handful of restaurants within 10 min. walk, which we took advantage of on the nights we didn’t cook inside the villa. '

'The room was not ready. We were told to go have something to eat somewhere else. When we got back they showed us our room. We took our luggage in and unpacked. We then changed into more comfy clothes after driving 8 hours from Xai Xai. After all of this the owners daughter came to us and said that they gave us the wrong room. This is extremely unprofessional. We asked for a refund and we have not received any payment as yet. '

'I cannot say enough good things about Travessia. The location is absolutely stunning, the food is amazing, and the staff are so kind and thoughtful. Travessia is truly a place to get away from it all and I am so appreciative of our time there. We loved that it was an eco-lodge using solar energy and was also working with the local community to be a force for good. We travel a lot, but this may be my favorite place we have ever stayed.'

'The little lodge with the 2 wonderful managers made our stay great! Our lodge was very nice, had a great view and all the luxuries. It was nice to make walks on the beach. The managers arranged a nice tour to the local village. They do everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible. It's a great place for relaxation.'

'The owner was very hospitable and even let us start a few hours past check out as our flight was at 2pm. Colleen also arranged for a lovely cultural tour at our request. It’s a very nice place and the included breakfast was made to order and delicious! Not some bland breakfast bar. It was like breakfast at a cute ocean view cafe where you could order an omelette or French toast. Great stay'

'Excelente recepção, cortesia e disponibilidade. Todo o pessoal, a partir dos proprietários aos trabalhadores, foi de extrema receptilidade e cortesia. As instalações estavam muito bem tratadas, decoradas com gosto e atenção ao mínimo detalhe. As tendas foram autênticos palácios nas arábias sem contudo entrar em luxos exagerados. Foi uma estadia que soube à pouco, deixando saudades mesmo antes da partida. Uma localização central em relação a outras atracções turísticas.'

'Al momento della prenotazione le foto della struttura erano completamente diverse da quello che abbiamo trovato. Da una struttura tipica con stanze a capanna abbiamo soggiornato in bungalows in muratura completamente nuovi ma impersonali. Il contorno tenuto bene e carino. Cosa gravissima mi è stato rubato un costume dentro la valigia in camera e per questo ho ricevuto soltanto delle scuse da parte del ragazzo della reception e non dalla direzione. E' stata una vera violazione della privacy.'

'Tres beau decors, mais le service ne suis pas pour un resort. Les employés tres aimables et accueillants mais on plusieurs lacunes encore dans le domaine de la restauration. Mettre du produit dans la piscine a 8h du matin quand il fait beau et le client veux aller se baigner mais ne pourra pas. Une carte de restaurant tres pauvre mais excellente nourriture, un petit dejeuné tres tres simples et pauvre en choix. Les employés a la reception pas toujours aimable ou sourriant, comme premier impacte...

'My wife and I stayed 3 nights at Casa Babi and we loved every second of it. Sabrina and staff are the best hosts. They picked us up at the airport, helped with delayed luggage, arranged trips and fixed transportation to our next destination. On top of that, their kitchen is amazing. Great breakfast, lunches and dinners. The view to the ocean and the continuous winds are spectacular. If it gets too hot you can jump in the pool. Top, top experience. '

'Casa Babi is a lovely guest house and great base for enjoying the Bazaruto Archipelago! The couple who runs the guest house and extremely welcoming and helpful - and there’s a dive shop just next door. Hope to stay again!'
