'This is the perfect place to get away from the hustle of every day life and enjoy some peace and quiet. It's like very high end camping. We saw deer in the yard on 2 different occasions and there is lots of room outdoors for children to ride bikes and play outdoor games. The swingset was a hit with our toddlers and babies and the trails were enjoyed by the teens. We enjoyed the spacious porches, beautifully decorated house and all the thoughtful amenities the host prepared for us. We didn't mind...

'The only thing I was disappointed with was the master bedroom furniture placement. The Queen bed was placed against a wall, not just the head of the bed but also a side. There was no way to get in bed on that side, you have to crawl up from the foot of the bed. I will be more observant in furniture placement when next I reserve [which I will] with them again.'

'This is the best hotel choice in Leavenworth! Clean, cool, pet friendly, good price, comfortable room and space, nice employees. The bathroom was beauitful, the bed and kitchen comfy and usable, the available coffee very handy. If you must stay at a hotel with the "free" breakfast (for almost twice the price), go for it. But for us The Leavenworth Local is the only place to stay! '

'It was wonderful. Perfect location and accommodations for a sister’s weekend. Staying right on the Main Street made it easy to shop and hit all the local restaurants. The blueberry muffins were the extra bonus. Will be back! '

'It is a really cute place. The sheets, bedding, and towels were high quality and very soft. The location is perfect if you are there to visit the campus or a student on campus. It is a busy street (esp with road construction right now), but it was really very quiet in the house. '

'But we did not all stay there., We had a family meeting for a family funeral and it was a wonderful place to hang out and enjoy the grill in the backyard. Plenty of open space and everyone enjoyed it. The neighborhood was nice and safe. It was close to Family property in Topeka. The host was wonderful. We had no problems. The Internet works great beautifully decorated. '

'This house was everything we needed for our trip to Topeka! A group of us traveled from IL to Topeka to see a friend from high school and her family. Kings Cottage was only 5 mins away from her house and was so convenient for the weekend! The game room in the basement and the man cave in the garage were added features that the kids loved!
