'This a unique experience. Staff was very helpful and their breakfast which we had one morning was delicious. We even managed to get Italian food delivered (easier with USD cash). The view is unbelievable and we definitely enjoyed as a family with 2 teenagers. Note that like all roads in Costa Rica, always better with a 4WD car. We had a simple 4x4 SUV and we had no issue driving (slowly) the 1.5km or so to get to the property even under set season rain. Again, great experience if you are looking...

'Ken and Juan were outgoing hosts eager to make our stay great. The artisan home is welcoming. The grounds are beautiful. We appreciated the use of the laundry. We absolutely loved El Despacio cafe down the street. We played games and enjoyed the view as the chef made meals for each of us so good we returned the next night and all ordered the same dishes. '

'These cabins are a bird watchers paradise. We saw over 40 species from the deck of our rustic little cabin. This location is out of the way. If you are driving yourself you will need 4 wheel drive as the driveway is steep and a bit rocky. Romey will work with you to get you a ride if you need one at a fair price. 'A special place - beautiful and in a beautiful setting. The property managers also thought of all the little things, and the welcome pack (some food starters, etc.) was a really thoughtful touch, given the place is a bit away from the action in Santa Elena. We really enjoyed our stay.'
