'We booked all 3 pods for a 1 night stay on the way back to the airport after touring Costa Rica and all were excellent, privately located with an outdoor kitchen, toilet, shower, balcony and jacuzzi. Although quite remote, they do offer a takeaway delivery service from a local restaurant, and the town is approx 15 minutes away. Important to note that the transparent pod is down a steep windy narrow path with lots of uneven steps, which is quite difficult to walk up and down and a real challenge...

'We stopped in Puntarenas on our way back from the west coast to San Juan. Unless you are curious to see all of Costa Rica, there is not much at all in this area. It's a filthy, poor area with little to offer, even though it is so close to the beach. The hotel is kind of old and tired with an unclean looking pool. Food is mediocre at best. We had a suite in the newly build tower, supposedly with a view over the marina. No view unless you stand on the balcony. We asked for a different room but got...

'Verblijf in Rancho de Lelo was een enorm hoogtepunt van onze reis naar Costa Rica. Wat onderscheidt zich vooral is de familie's gastvrijheid! De hutten zijn nieuw en voorzien van alles wat je nodig hebt. Comfortabel en schoon en een prachtig uitzicht. Het restaurant is ook uitstekend. Zo vers, eenvoudig en heerlijk en op bestelling gemaakt. Beatriz voorzag ons van goede tips voor activiteiten en restaurants en goede aanwijzingen. Ze zijn zo'n leuke en liefdevolle familie! '

'This place was one of our favorites in Costa Rica. The views are breathtaking. The outdoor balcony with unique hammock, swing, and jacuzzi tub was our favorite place to enjoy morning coffee and their incredible breakfast! 'Staff was friendly and eager to help. Area was slummy but luckily the hotel has a gated area for parking. Building is old and needs updating badly, but staff tried to make it as welcoming as possible. Walls and ceiling in the rooms were gross and bathrooms are in bad shape. Worst part was no hot water. Best part is that beds were clean.'
