'We spoilt ourselves with 2 nights in Ahas Pokuna. This is a truly special place. Greeted at the road side by Arun our naturalist guide we were immediately enveloped in the forest following a footpath (truly the only access) leading us up the the very exclusive camp. We were the only guest and had the middle of three tent suites/tree houses. The beautifully maintained grounds of the camp are full of birds and the staff are always attentive. The food is excellent and plentiful. Arun was delightful...

'Backyard Balangoda provides a great Sri Lankan experience, complete with a very friendly dog named Bruno! The incredibly kind owner made sure we had a wonderful stay, sharing interesting information about local life and tasty food. Breakfast, made with local ingredients, was wonderful, especially the tea from his garden and his own roasted coffee. Be sure to try the special Cinnamon Infused Ice Tea – it’s also lovely with some lemon gin in the evening! The scenery is amazing, and the waterfall...

'We stayed for one night for the Safari. The property is well maintained, clean and it is as described. The owner is very responsive, offer good service. We enjoyed the breakfast included in the reservation after the Safari. I would definitely recommend this place. '

'Agthira river camp was excellent. The staff were all friendly and the room was so nice. Looking onto the river was very relaxing and hours were spent watching the monkeys. The buffet in the morning and evening was great. The safari was booked via the hotel and was a great experience.'
