'The owner-couple have restored and maintained this beautiful historical mansion, a part of Scranton's once-central role in the economy of the North-East, to create a perfect venue for group gatherings. Their attention to detail has preserved the elegant atmosphere, and at every point of our stay, there was someone to support and answer any questions. 'I’ve had experiences before where the listing photos oversell a property, but this booking is honest and spectacular. The house is exactly as it seems. The biggest plus is how communicative Sam is from the time you book until the time you checkout. I didn’t have a single reason to reach out during our stay, but if I did, I know they’d respond right away based on how our communications went leading up to the trip. I would stay here again. '

'Great for a romantic night away. Not a family spot. No family room to comfortably hang out but a great place to sleep and nice for a couple interested in exploring the area. Very vintage and pretty. Super nice people run this establishment!!'

'The house was sparkling clean and decorated so nicely. Check-in/out was a breeze. We loved that the property was lakefront and dog friendly. We utilized the dock every day to fish (and caught some nice ones too!), made s'mores around the fire pit and took the kayaks out to explore the lake. We used the grill a few times and ate out on the deck, which was so nice. The kitchen is well stocked with nice cookware and every gadget you need to make a meal. 'The house was perfect for our stay! The large patio area and fire pit was a favorite gathering spot. The kitchen has updated amenities and the dining room and living room were large. The screened in porch was nice for relaxing in the morning and evening. The bedrooms and bathrooms were nicely appointed and clean. The house is located near marinas and restaurants. The owners and management were very responsive. We hope to come back again soon!'

'The house was perfect for our Anniversary celebration and reunion. We used all nine bedrooms, including one for our lone teen. It rained for two days which gave us time for indoor games and lots of room for our toddlers. We brought gates for the stairs to keep them contained, but we could not use them because of the round banisters. Our only problem with this beautiful house. '

The property is exactly as described, super clean, everything worked, smart TVs in every bedroom and living areas, linens way better than expected and it just felt comfortable, like home. Ski trip, first for the 5 and 6 yr old grandkids to learn.
