'Our family gathering included 19 adults and 8 children ages 5 & under. Our parents once had a home on Lake Jackson, so this was a trip of memories for all of us. This home provided ample gathering space inside, and the pool proved a great place for outside gathering. Beds were comfortable and rooms were clean. The kitchen had plenty of space for cooking and most of the utensils we needed. We noted several previous guests had suggested we bring our own sharp knives and disposable dining utensils...

'We had such a wonderful time at Shepherd’s Lodge. We didn’t have nearly enough time to spend there, as we had a wedding to attend, but what time we had was exceptional! The home is such a welcoming place with a big covered area in front with rocking chairs that always stays so cool, and a huge deck that wraps around the side and the entire back of the house with plenty of seating. 'We had the best time. The house was clean, comfortable. Quiet neighborhood, good sleep, and we especially loved the back porch which was amazing. I would certainly love to come here again to relax. My family enjoyed the fishing early morning, noon, and early evening. lol. Just to see them relaxing with my 87 year old mother, was just a joy. '

'This house has a beautiful lake view. Spacious dock and lovely back porch. The beds were very comfortable. I might have missed it, but i didn't see in the description that it was 2 story. Overall, we had a very nice stay and hope to return. I would have given it 4 1/2 stars .'

'Could not contact the property owner for check-in details. Property was deserted upon arrival. Both the phone number and emails listed were incorrect. Conditions seemed unsafe to enter and owner/manager was not available.'

'The property was absolutely amazing! We hosted our rehearsal dinner here with the approval of Courtney, and it was amazing! We also hosted our wedding party for the weekend of our wedding, that Saturday, and it was the perfect amount of space for the 14 of us. '
