'Our family gathering included 19 adults and 8 children ages 5 & under. Our parents once had a home on Lake Jackson, so this was a trip of memories for all of us. This home provided ample gathering space inside, and the pool proved a great place for outside gathering. Beds were comfortable and rooms were clean. The kitchen had plenty of space for cooking and most of the utensils we needed. We noted several previous guests had suggested we bring our own sharp knives and disposable dining utensils...

'This was a wonderful location and property. David was super responsive to inquiries and requests. It was a great set-up for big gatherings—lots of room to spread out. The bedrooms were well-appointed. Two of the beds are pull-outs, and they were amazingly comfortable (I was pleasantly surprised). The kitchen was fully stocked. Air-conditioning units in rooms, as well as ceiling fans, made the hot weather bearable. We would definitely book here again. Thanks for a great stay!'

'We had the most wonderful experience at Tony’s beautiful house on the lake! Everyone loved the salt water pool, kayaking and especially paddle boating. Plenty of games at night to play from collection there with cozy den and big screen TV. All in all, it was exactly what we were hoping for…a peaceful, relaxing weekend!'

'We were looking for a place to camp that was secluded and peaceful and that is exactly what we got! The tree house is very well built and was the perfect place to sleep at night. There was a spot with a large fire pit next to the river with a good sized clearing that we hung out and played games in. We opted to get some kayaks and went up and down the river. Entry into the river was a bit steep and challanging but we made it work. It was a bit of a drive for us but even the kids agreed that it...

'We had 8 ladies staying at the house and it was a great spot. We had plenty of room and the owner was very responsive and helpful when we booked all the way until we checked out. Would recommend!!!'

'Another great stay. We also enjoyed being able to check in early. The house is stocked with everything. Nice layout and clean. This was our second time renting and we have already booked for Labor Day weekend. The hosts are friendly and readily available for questions if needed. Neighbors on both sides are nice. We caught several catfish and crappie. My daughter enjoyed the kid kayaks. Highly recommend this property!!'

'We had a fabulous few days in your quaint town! The Carriage House was perfect for our group. The only thing that could have been better was the birds not flying into the door every morning as a wake up call but that totally wasn’t the properties fault. We got a good laugh out of it every morning. '

'We stayed here for a weekend and couldn’t have picked a better spot. The house was clean, spacious, and exactly as described—plenty of room for everyone to spread out and relax. The lake views were awesome, and the outdoor space was perfect for hanging out. Great communication with the owner from start to finish—super responsive and helpful. Would definitely stay here again. 'We loved the house. The kitchen was beautiful and spacious and we loved the floor to ceiling windows overlooking the deck and lake. The deck and backyard were fabulous! The lake, wooded area across the lake, and the surrounding mature trees were brimming with so many species of birds. In the early morning they sounded like a symphony. Next time we plan to stay longer. '

'Could not contact the property owner for check-in details. Property was deserted upon arrival. Both the phone number and emails listed were incorrect. Conditions seemed unsafe to enter and owner/manager was not available.'
