'Beautiful location surrounded by stunning nature, with amazing rooms and a breakfast of a very high standard.
However, the grounds and overall maintenance do not reflect the level expected from a Relais & Châteaux or Michelin Key property. There were dry leaves and weeds throughout the territory, and several trees appeared infested or dying. For such a large estate, there should clearly be more gardeners and stronger attention to maintenance and cleanliness.

'What a fantastic little hotel in Mirissa. The fresh fruit selection at breakfast was amazing. Waking up in a four-poster bed and stepping onto a balcony overlooking the beach and coconut trees was an absolute joy. The pool was lovely, and from the balcony you could even see Coconut Tree Hill.
The location is perfect—within walking distance of Coconut Tree Hill, Mirissa Beach, as well as plenty of restaurants, shops, and spas. Tuk-tuks are easy to find if you want to explore further, but...

'Heel vriendelijk personeel
Kamer is wat gedateerd maar prima, heerlijk balkon met uitzicht op zee.
Enige minpunt is douchen in het bad wat van te voren niet bekend gemaakt was en de laatste drie dagen geen warm water.'

'We stayed in sugar hostel for two nights and it was a lovely experience although it started out a little rocky. When we first entered there was a little confusion with the booking. Even though the booking details were clear on our end on they had not received our booking. The staff were really kind and friendly and they handled the situation well and we were so happy about it.
