Our host was very responsive to a few questions we had, and added several sweet personal touches to our stay that made the house cozy and welcoming, especially for my kids. We hiked the Catawba Trail, spent some time in nearby Black Mountain, and made s'mores by the firepit. It was a great weekend getaway for a family. '

'The location was good, but the kitchen was dirty I had to clean the oven for 3 hours before we could use it. the dishes were just thrown into the cabinets some were dirty. The fireplace did not work. Outside the grill was disgusting and again I spent an hour cleaning. there were several safety issues, string lights were on the ground right where you walked into the hot tub and there were exposed electrical boxes on the deck.'
