'This is an excellent country hotel, about 1.5 miles down a lane from the main a1, it’s quiet and peaceful and although in need of refurbishment, which it’s getting after November this year, is still extremely nice. 'We enjoyed our stay, the accomodation was neat, clean and as displayed in the advert. The location was a bit different from what we had anticipated for eventhough the beach was nearby. The street in which the accomodation was situated was somewhat basic. The host, Elaine, was a real sweetheart and responded in a heartbeat to our questions and did everything to make out stay comfortable. We had a great stay, Newbiggin is very central to go and explore Northumberland. Deffinately a recommendation...

'Pictures and description is 100%. Communication with the owner is smooth. The cottage is spotless, in the middle of town with café’s (for breakfast and lunch), 1 pub serving food in the evening a couple only 50 meters down the road, a great Italian restaurant in 60 meters and a pub (no food) with a garden 70 meters. The cottage is well laid out. Great walks in the vicinity. For a rainy day there are books from Louise Ross all located in Northumberland. Off road parking is very convenient.'

"The room was nice spacious but could use an update. And they made a fuss about me not wanting to eat in the special 'dog-area' because it felt like being put away... and too hot. i wanted outside but there they didn't serve... finally it was okay but i had to stand my ground and that was not so nice after a very long day's walk... beautiful sitting area outside though!"
