'We enjoyed our two nights pre-Christmas !! '

'So yes this was 100% a white lotus type experience. That said. The service was impeccable. We went to kinigi for gorilla trekking and Sambora coordinated every detail beyond the permits. They did everything from finding the right outerwear to finding us a great driver. Meals were delicious. We sat every night at a long table with other guests which was fun - we were traveling as a couple so was nice to mix it up. But yes. White lotus. Just be prepared.'

'The hotel is beautiful and offers many amenities which is good when traveling as a family. There is truly no time to be bored. The downside is that the service is extremely slow, we stayed 2 nights and the meals we ordered took 1+ hour no matter the time of the day. The F&B does not seem to be performing a high-level capacity. Also, on my first day they had run out of towels and no one could seem to figure out what to do about it.'

'Amazing service, charming rooms, fantastic food. I went there after a gorilla trek and before hiking up Bisoke and they were fantastic. They helped arrange transport as well. Will absolutely be staying here again if I'm back in Musanze.'

'This hotel is the best place to stay in Kinigi/to gorilla trek! It’s the closest lodge to the Dian Fossey campus and women’s village, and the staff is exceptional. They are very friendly and helpful and went above and beyond. We loved that we’d come back to the hotel and they’d clean our shoes and give us a foot massage. They’d also get a fire going in your room while you are having dinner. We’d come back to bed with a heated bed (thanks to a warm water bottle they place in there) and a fire...

'The staff at My Hill Eco Lodge made a 1-week work trip a delight. The rooms are large and simply but perfectly outfitted. The restaurant servers could not have been sweeter or more helpful. (Portions are big! Request Rwandan food if you're curious, especially the local amaranth greens.) The only note: It is indeed on a hill, so not for the faint of heart — or heavy packers.'

'We had a wonderful stay at Volcanoes Over View Safaris and Camp. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and accommodating throughout our visit. Although Google Maps initially led us to an impassable road, the local community was kind enough to guide us safely to the camp, which we truly appreciated. 'The house is a 15-20’ walk from the center. Difficult to communicate with the lady (no French, little English) but her husband speaks fluent French. Excellent breakfast, clean and spacious room.'

'Fatima hotel is a average plave to stay, but it is value for money. Specially if you compare the resorts in the area...Fqtima has a great pool area with a nice bar in cottage style. Rooms are fine, however check before staying. Some rooms have some minor issues, but then again: this is Africa after all...'

'The property is well maintained and conveniently located just a short walk from the Musanze bus terminal. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. The food prepared by the guest house cook was excellent! Our only concern was the lack of hot water in the shower, but that may have been due to the fact that we didn't know to plug in the water heater.'
