'Our room was spotless and the front desk was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay!'

'clean, well kept'

'Would find liked it to be closer to downtown.'

'Breakfast is the best “included with your stay” buffet. Kitchen/ dining area spotless and variety/ quality of food is excellent. Front desk staff very helpful when you have problems: but you will have problems. Extra linens in closet did not have pillowcase for pillow. Stayed in accessible room for higher toilet/ accessible shower. Room size is great, however: Prepare for flooding if you use the shower and moldy/ mildew smell. You can request more (& towels will be needed every day)but, since...

'At the time of check in they charged me a 75 dollar incidents fee. The money was taking off my card and she kept trying to get me to pay another 75 dollars… I kept showing her my bank account to show that it came out yet and still she wanted me to pay another 75 dollars… Then she took my card and made copies of it which I don’t agree with cause now my card number is just sitting there for other people to get access to it… Other than that my stay was enjoyable…'

'Wij hebben er maar 1 nachtje overnacht op doorreis. Centrum van New Bern is mooi en all American. Hotel is heel groot, de verdieping waar we sliepen waren ze net aan het renoveren, maar onze kamer was proper en mooi, met een mooi uitzicht op de haven. Zwembad was klein maar mooi.'

'If you plan to visit Oriental, you must stay at Magnolia House Bed and Breakfast! The innkeepers are so friendly and accommodating. They greeted me as I arrived and took me on a tour of the house explaining the available amenities. The house has a wrap around porch, perfect for relaxing in the evening (I stayed in August and was surprised by the mild evening temperature). I had to leave early morning and typically do not eat breakfast so they had breakfast bars and fruit available for me to grab...

'Staff was very friendly'

'Definitely family friendly. Can check in and spent your whole vacation on site. Alot of activities for all ages. Pool cleaning was a little slack on the inside. But other then that no complaints.'

'The condo was infested with cockroaches, smelled badly of marijuana and was very dirty. When calling to get some sort of refund for having to leave early due to the disgusting conditions - it is impossible to speak to a manager. Have been waiting almost a month for a phone call back. Would not recommend this place.'

'Great staff, room, location!'

'Premium location and comfortable. Beautiful home. Excellent host and delicious breakfast !'

'We had a wonderful stay! The location of the bed and breakfast was ideal for walking to shops, historical sites, Union Point Park and various restaurants. Our room was clean and the staff were very nice as well as helpful! The breakfast each morning was filling and delicious! I would highly recommend. We would definitely come back.'

'My biggest problem was that the only chair in our room was the desk chair. Due to spinal stenosis I can no longer sleep in a bed. I have slept in a recliner for 7 years. The back on the desk chair was too low. I slept very little. My back hurt constantly. Because there was no where to elevate my legs by today my feet and ankles were swollen. There was 1 comfortable chair in the lobby. Each room needs a comfortable char and possibly an ottoman.'

'Beautiful house in the heart of downtown New Bern. Room was very comfortable and breakfast was delicious.'

'The staff was very nice and friendly. It was ok for the money. Only thing was there was garbage outside of the unit which had a smell. There was two dinning room chairs that needed repair.'

'Loved it!'

'Love the easy check in , contact free and straight forward . Love the room , very comfortable bed and pillows . Love the choice of pillows , clean and homy feel . The amenities are of good quality , like the variety of coffee and offer free of charge water machine outside the short hallway . Location are the best , major attraction and eateries and water front are all within the walking distance . We only stayed 2 nights 3 days but definitely consider come back to stay here again .'
