'If you plan to visit Oriental, you must stay at Magnolia House Bed and Breakfast! The innkeepers are so friendly and accommodating. They greeted me as I arrived and took me on a tour of the house explaining the available amenities. The house has a wrap around porch, perfect for relaxing in the evening (I stayed in August and was surprised by the mild evening temperature). I had to leave early morning and typically do not eat breakfast so they had breakfast bars and fruit available for me to grab...

'Wij hebben er maar 1 nachtje overnacht op doorreis. Centrum van New Bern is mooi en all American. Hotel is heel groot, de verdieping waar we sliepen waren ze net aan het renoveren, maar onze kamer was proper en mooi, met een mooi uitzicht op de haven. Zwembad was klein maar mooi.'

'We arrived and we're the only guests. Even Brodie wasn't there. They partner with a sub shop up the road and I felt we were really encouraged to go there for breakfast instead of the inn. The first room was up a lot of stairs. There was a lot of dirt on ceiling fan blades. Room was nice looking. The AC unit was not cooling well at all so we asked if we cod stay in lower level room. 'The condo was infested with cockroaches, smelled badly of marijuana and was very dirty. When calling to get some sort of refund for having to leave early due to the disgusting conditions - it is impossible to speak to a manager. Have been waiting almost a month for a phone call back. Would not recommend this place.'
