'This is a great option for independent-minded travelers who want something clean and spacious near the university. There is not much in the way of front desk staff but they communicated smoothly about check in and check out. There is an excellent bakery downstairs on the premises. The kitchen is stocked with basic pots, pans, utensils, etc. Tons of space. There is a bit of street noise as the property is at a busy intersection, so bring your earplugs just in case. Overall, good value.'

'This little cabin is so darned cute! And full of everything you could ever need or want. The host is very attentive and helpful. The temps were about 110 with the heat index while we were there, so we didn’t enjoy the outdoor space as much as we wished we could have, but the air conditioners kept everything cool and comfortable. We had a great visit and can’t wait to return to enjoy the beautiful setting in the autumn!!!! Thank you Abby!!!! '

'Large and roomy house perfect for large groups. Excellent communication with the owners. Beautiful view of the lake…too bad we didn’t get to use the lake. '

'We were visiting to move our daughter to UIUC. It was easy to find, check in and check out. Check out was particularly easy and we appreciated that. The dryer didn’t work, but we found a laundromat nearby with ease. '

'Everything was stocked to the best! Sam was very responsive when we had a question and the cabin is so illdylic. The privacy was great! The porch was an ideal place for the guys to get away to talk and the beds were great, too! Thank you, Sam and Kathy, for sharing your lovely cabin with us. Our friends came from Florida and we came from Pittsburgh to the perfect place to get away from it all!! WE really loved it! '

'We were in town for a baseball tournament. Had two families (5 people, 3 people). The basement was perfect for one family and the upstairs was perfect for the larger family. The property was clean. Good communication with the owner. Everything we needed was there including garbage bags, toilet paper, laundry soap, dish soap etc. We had a great stay. The beds were super comfortable too!'

'Very well appointed and maintained house with lots of amenities. Spacious and plenty of natural light. Very nice deck. A few points to note: Bathroom door and floor boards creak. Using the bathroom or kitchen at night disturbs others. Property is on a busy road near train tracks. Noisy traffic and trains! '

'A very utilitarian home. Nice beds, bedding and towels. Nice shower. Need to shower quickly if several showers needed in quick succession. Lovely air conditioning in this heat. Be aware that the ac is loud. Hosts very responsive to contact. We were happy with our stay. '

'Rented this home for U of I graduation. It is conveniently located - just about 5 minute drive to campus. Neighborhood is quaint and quiet. House had ample space and the kitchen had adequate amenities. Plenty of bath towels, toilet paper, dishwasher soap, paper towels supplied. We hung out in the backyard which had a nice patio table and chairs. Charming house in a charming, walkable area. We would certainly stay here again. '
