'we felt very welcome at Pam's ranch. First a tour of the house, then to our room. We immediately felt at home and enjoyed a nice cigar on the porch. We slept wonderfully in the bunk beds between the western saddles. Luckily with an electric blanket, it was chilling this night. Bathroom completely in style. The picture complete. Delicious breakfast with stories about the ranchbrand…great. Also nice to meet other guests in the main house. We met the horses and rode the ranch trick in the fields!...

'Before staying here, I was under the impression that Wyndham was a premium brand. After staying here, I sincerely doubt this. I have stayed in nicer Motel 6s. There were broken and hastily repaired walls in my room, missing fixtures, yellowing and out of date light fixtures and no electrical sockets within easy reach of the bed. The staff seemed friendly, however, there appeared to be somebody who was related to one of the staff members who spent his entire day sitting in the hotel lobby playing...

'We felt like we were in a dangerous place. We actually put the ironing board and a chair in front of the door. The room was very dirty the vents were really dirty. There was no Kleenex in the box. The bathtub was dirty. We actually checked out early.'

They even took the extra step and had an advent calendar to ensure we continued our family Christmas tradition while on vacation. 'Where do we begin? Peace in a Pod is wonderful! We could have stayed longer for sure. Upon entering, there was holiday music playing on the TV and a few holiday decorations nestled among the comfy decor. That was a nice touch. 'Overall, cabin was well decorated, clean, inviting, and the location in Big Canoe was perfect for having activities and food nearby. Only “issues” I would note is that there were no curtains on the front so it lacked a bit of the privacy I like and would let all the sun in during the day which can be good but would make it a bit hot at times.
