'There were 8 of us in our group on a weekend motorcycle ride from Hartford SD. We started up to Fargo and then across into MN. Stopped in Hancock for supper at Buddies. Excellent supper and people!!! Had to wait out a storm so pulling into the VRBO and being able to park all 6 bikes into the garage was fantastic! Property was gorgeous and we will be planning another trip! The only complaint we had is that we were not staying longer than one night!! We will definitely come back! Thank you!!! '

'The Boar's Abode was the perfect place for a weekend getaway. There was plenty of room for our entire family. The kitchen worked great for cooking all of our meals and grilling outside was great. The massage chair was a popular relaxation spot for the teens and young adults. Would definitely rent this place again. '

'This house was perfect for the 11of us. We were ages 7 months to 69. The kids loved the camp room and the playhouse. The 2year old loved all the baby bears in the house. It was cold and rainy, but that did not stop us. The kids played on the beach and swam in sweatshirts the first day. We utilized the kayak, paddle board, paddle boat and the swim pad. 'Perfect for our 4 day/3 night summer getaway. Cabin included so much to enjoy our stay. The AC worked terrific and the dock was connected directly to the deck making super easy access to swim, fish and kayak. We loved the large deck, bbq grill & fire pit as well. '

'This property was excellent for our family get together. There was enough room for every family to have their own bedroom. The kids could play with the games in the garage and basement while the adults talked upstairs or on the deck. The beach was set off to the side but there were plenty of chairs to sit on when others fished or enjoyed all the fun water toys they had. 'This is a gem! It is the perfect relaxation spot. Quiet and remote. So many fish jumping, turtles spotted, and many types of birds flying around. Even at the entrance we had deer and several turkey that had made an appearance. '

'Very clean, had everything we needed. Dave was very nice and helpful. The hosts even had a thank you card and a bottle of wine for us upon our arrival. '

'Our extended family group of 6 adults & 4 teens had a wonderful 4 day late June vacay at Gary&Mary’s vacation home at Big Stone Lake. We brought our boat and left it on the lift except for one night when a storm was coming. The dads & kids had a blast boating, tubing, and fishing. They decided to catch and release so they didn’t use the downstairs kitchen which was well set up for cleaning fish. The loft area and porch and great decks were a real bonus, providing us with great places to view...

'John’s place was a very nice place to stay. It was right on the lake and access to fishing was good. John communicated well and we enjoyed our stay.'

'My stay was fantastic. The cabin was clean and beautiful. And the location is very secluded and scenic. I had some issues with the wifi reception for the tv. But a minor complaint for how wonderful everything else was.'

'Such a perfect spot to escape July 4th weekend fireworks. We have a very nervous dog when it comes to all the fireworks in the city. This place is perfect! The serenity of watching the swans with their cygnets as you sip your morning coffee is amazing. The place is cozy but has all the basics you need.'
