'The "Isle of View" was the perfect location for my friends and I. Situated a little more than an hour from Baton Rouge and New Orleans, we were able to visit both cities and retreat to the quiet castle at night. The resident Hemingway cat that oversaw the property was very affectionate. Bring cat treats! We will stay again. Thank you Marcus.'

'Creek is moving water so hardley any mosquito. Coldest creek in LA perfect for toddlers to play in the shallow water. Lots of small fish for kids to catch. The house has the essential for cooking pots pans etc. Because your 20mins from a McDonalds dont believe google when it says 10 mile. We came to LA to see family in the area. Would come back to this place when we come back to LA. '

'When a group a family who isn’t related but is more like family than actual family needs to get together for a long weekend, this is the place to stay. We had multiple families stay here, we organized meals to split between all the families, and we had plenty enough room for all of us. The detached cottage was adorable. Just wish it had a bathroom, but wasn’t a dealbreaker. The game room was a huge hit and lots of time spent in there. The pool doesn’t get much sun, so we didn’t get to use it as...

'22 person 4 night family reunion. 16 adults and children actually stayed at the home. Sleeping, meals, and entertaining were all easy to do in this beautiful place. The owner was attentive and easy to communicate with. '

'We had the most peaceful, relaxing and comfortable stay, I think ever. We were only 40 minutes from home, but it seemed like 1,000,000 miles away. Stephen and Holly made us feel so welcome and some of the friendliest people ever. We couldn’t have asked for better hosts. We will definitely be booking more trips to this property in the future. '

'I echo all the 10/10 reviews. We too brought our e-bikes and took several wonderful rides around old Mandeville. The bike trails are the best I’ve ridden. Lake Pontchartrain shoreline is a short stroll away, and there are many nearby eateries and watering holes to experience. The cottage is awesome. The photos in the listing don’t do it justice. It was perfect for our stay.'

"Stayed here for Halloween night as it was very affordable. For the price difference we could have taken about 5 ubers to and back from downtown, which is only a 15-20 min drive. Quiet location, free parking. Didnt wake up in time for breakfast, but its free. We were checked in by Dawn who was very friendly and welcoming. "
